AP Rounds deal more damage than they should

Bug Description: On aliens, AP rounds are dealing significantly more damage than they should, with slugs placing Elite Hunters and Mature Praetorians at half of their health.


Steps to reproduce:
1. Play as an alien, preferably an Elite/Ancient T2
2. Be shot with an AP round
3.
You will never be as bad as the baldie who picked up a tactical shotgun while a hunter was pouncing on top of a CMO for 4 seconds, with his only response being to pace around before being decap'd by said hunter. Preety sure its intentional, AP smg rounds for example deal less damage to runners than a normal SMG round does.

They're dealing MORE damage.

Yes, and i think thats intentional, although the hunter one makes me suspicous, and mind you that SLUG deals as much damage as BUCKSHOT if no additional buckshot hits

This is something only the admins can investigate due to the nature of it.

I would imagine AP rounds deal more damage to higher tank and tier xenos and less damage to lower rank and tier xenos.

I thought AP dealt less damage but removed the possibility of "your exoskeleton helps absorb some of the damage!"

I thought this too. That it just bypassed armor to have a 100% chance of doing direct damage and not being absorbed/deflected.

They should technically deal less damage, due to the nature of their exit wounds (i.e leaving a nice small hole on both sides of the target). Which, is far less brutal anatomically than say hollowpoint or non-AP rounds (i.e wreaking havoc tearing and smashing through everything as the bullet expands greatly).

Admins can't investigate this, it's controlled by text file on the remote box. I'll look into this, but I doubt it.
