Hellhounds discussion

Post by Nick123q23 » 26 Jul 2017, 10:19

What ever happened to these things? They're a good addition to a hunt and an even better way to introduce people to Predators who might become whitelisted later

I've heard that they're considered overpowered, especially during fights with xenos, and having played as one in hunter games, they're the basic simple mobs and can't do a lot of things.

Will we ever see their return?

Hell hounds, in their first iteration, were very powerful. One could easily give a t3 a run for their money. They had a charge ability, that could stun xenos, they ran fast, and did decent melee damage. They are a pale imitation of their former selves, probably for the best though.

Hellhounds are still deadly to xenos, just not as much as they used to be. They work best when supported.

Against humans? Well, they are the only mob I know of that has the ability to tackle someone into a brief coma. I recall one game (I think it was tribes or something) where I got in as a hound and managed to juggle 2-3 people at once, in the end killing them all because I kept tackling them and knocking them out.

Hellhounds vs melee-based humans is hella OP.
