What was your favorite RP moment during Infection?

Being ff'd with buckshot so that I landed next to a zombie. When surrounded and out of ammo, I picked up a gun and shot myself, only for my head to grow back.

When i was one of the final people, i was just chatting to myself about the whole situation, the war glaive, the sarcophages, everything really before i got confronted by zombies.

I have to say it was the first infection round we had today, I was the guy monitoring Isaak Khan while he turned. Blimey, that was fun.

A bunch of marines were banging on the doors of the brig begging to be let in so I do it, then right as they're about to get in I see zombies on the edge of my vision. Just barely close and bolt the door in time before they get to it and end up digging up a floor tile under the door when I try to crowbar it closed. Zombies eventually got in when I assumed the admins had unbolted the door because zombies were unable to get past door bolts. I eventually died when I got infected and FF"d with buckshot (It was my fault) so I secured the girders behind me and attempted to get into the CIC. I did so but then forgot my gun, ran back down, fell into crit from bloodloss, and a marine who was also up there looted my body and unsecured the girder, letting the zombies in and killing everyone.

Oh yeah at some point there was a guy who was turning in Cell 4 so we tossed tables up in front of it while he vomitted all over himself and cursed at us for saying we should shoot him. We had the idea of putting a straight jacket on him and I believe it worked and he was unable to attack people so we shot him and threw him in perma.

When I was playing Infection on Big Red, Cayden got infected while we were in Lambda. She(?) got infected and she told us to leave her in Viro. She eventually turned and she came to the bar where we were holding out. We gunned her down and it made me IC sad. I got fucking hammered after that. I got infected while we were trying to handle the zombies. I tried to disguise it by getting really drunk. While I was drinking, I turned. Duke Schlofield saw me turn and cried. Funnily enough, I was drunk as a zombie so my movement was impaired and I couldnt move straight at all. It was my downfall.

After me and few marines got swarmed in Med, we fell back to briefing. I took the opportunity to hold up in Cargo with the others. We held for a long time, listening to the gunfire start to die down outside and the creatures move about. Eventually, I got FF'd from the oddest angle, leaving me crippled. Around the same time, the barricades fell and the dead overran Cargo. Laying dying as the creatures converged, all I could put out over the radio was "Cargo is overrun" and finally "We lost".

Being stuck in upper medbay while watching the zeds come out of mourge while surrounding me and the CMP.

Was part of the Deltards that landed on LV. After losing control of LZ1 and the Nexus we fell back across the river to the tablefort and held out there for a long time. Had to scavenge medical supplies and food for the group. Finally, after a long time being out of radio contact with the ship and having little zombie activity on the planet (we weren't sure if we were delaying the round or not by staying there), we decided to go back up to the Almayer.

Landing on the ship brought us into complete chaos, and one by one the Deltards fell or became infected as we battled our way across the hangar to security... only to find it was breached and rife with infection. It was quite tragic. We wrapped around the North side to bypass the barricades and were pincered by the infected coming out of briefing/medbay and the zombies that chased us from the hangar. The rapid fire knockback of the masterkey underbarrel shotgun saved me here.

I eventually met my end after being set on fire by a friendly flamethrower, and my last moments were spent defending the squad leader so he could climb the ladders to the upper deck. Not sure if he made it or not.

Ordering deaths squads to round up all potential infected,strip them and execute them before being spaced under the ruse of a cure when containment was obviously going to fail.

One of my SOs alerted the crew about it but nobody believed him until it was too late.

Banging at the window after being locked into a containment cell with one of the infected, who quickly turned. I hid in the locker, praying that he wouldn't go after me, and he opted to climb out after breaking the window to kill the MP. I climb out afterwards and try to escape, yelling for help, but I can't access the door, and the zombie slaughters everyone inside, including the uninfected people in the other containment cell.

The first infection round I played. At the time almost no one knew what to expect in regards to how it was transmitted, what the setup was or pretty much anything. I went in as Bravo SL, had to lead the squad in lemming mode but it worked out in the end.

It was the confusion that was perhaps the best part, not knowing how much it took to kill a zombie for example, hell I mean I got touched by an infected guy and pretty much thought it was over for me. Where you saw doctors screaming "Get out the way!" whilst rushing pale, vomiting people on roller-beds into the dropships, trying to stay as far away as you could in case you got the virus. When the zombies started actually rising and attacking it just became absolute pandemonium because half the people didn't even know what was going on. The FOB was being attacked on the east side, but I was on the south side and just the sheer amount of miscommunication / lack of communication whatsoever had me desperately grabbing for answers.

I had an engineer setting up an MG nest and I was watching everyone around me like a hawk, and the defences, whilst they didn't fall by the time I died, were constantly being breached by zombie corpses in the spaceport. All in all, it was the uncertainty which made it so great.

I agree that the surprise was by far my favorite aspect of the gamemode. The first time I played an infection game I didn't check the game type and late joined. Waking up to zombies crawling all over the Almayer and not knowing what the hell was going was amazing. It is much more difficult to RP when you know how the round is pretty much going to play out.
