It depends on what one is active at the time I pick it up. I never really notice until my robot arm starts to fail and I have to actively left hand things.

I used to use right, but i noticed just how often i myself as a xeno, and xenos whole would go for right hand or arm, so i started trying to do it with left, if i lose my right arm, atleast i will not lost mah precious gun.

I can confirm that Ravagers target your left hand often enough to ravage your hopes and dreams.
