Do you understand that any player - even donors or staff members - can have their whitelist status revoked should they break our Server Rules or Roleplay Guidelines?

Yes, and I am fully prepared to follow the rules down to the letter. I have made my mistakes in the past and I am looking to be a good example for my fellow players.

Why should you be whitelisted?

I believe I should be whitelisted because of my steadfastness towards role-playing and the art of storytelling. I think that through storytelling and introducing an interesting commander who's not been seen before on the server I will be able to create memorable moments for other players and better the round for everyone. I am able to play very varied characters, from southerner engineer Russ Connagher to high-spirited, cocky pilot Ingrid Lundqvist to hardened soldier Carmen Garcia. I think that I can create characters that bring life to a round and I feel that I would be able to do so as a Commander. I understand how the role works, I've got friends who are veterans of the military to help me with attitude and characterization, and I am fully prepared to do anything to fulfill this role to the best of my ability.

I know I've made my mistakes in the past and my record isn't spotless, but I'm doubling down. I haven't had any bad conduct raps in a little while and I feel that I should look to the future and that I've learned from the mistakes of the past. I want to help this server anyway I can, and the best way I can is write and roleplay, and I do both of those to what I feel is an adequate level to play Commander.

Additionally, I've seen every single movie in the Aliens Vs. Predator universe, including, unfortunately, Aliens Vs. Predator: Requiem. I've roleplayed military roles before in various games, and I know how to delegate! I know how to let the XO handle some things, and I know how to mix up strategy and characterization enough to make no two round feel exactly the same. I know I can be great in this role and for the first time in a long time, I've beaten my depression back enough to say that I feel confident. I just know I can do this and I want you to believe in me too.

So, if you were JUST Carmen Garcia you would've had my vote. I specifically remember being blown away as an XO when you emoted sticking a knife into a table and threatened to gut the CO if he sent your squad down again.

But you're also Russ Connagher AND Ingrid Lundqvist?

I would never have guessed they were the same player.

That said, I don't believe I've seen you play as an XO yet, but I have no doubt that you'll do a fantastic job.

A personal friend of mine and a solid Roleplayer. I have my laughs with Ingrid and Carmen, and some recent rounds would not have been the same without them. I don't have one doubt in my mind they will make a solid addition to our currently lacking CO list. You got my vote.

Well, this not change my vote, since no one made a proposal here of anything for the CO to explain I will do it myself.
Based on a round that I got yesterday.

You wake up in the almayer (low pop) to know that the tensions are high between the CL and the XO in the round. The CL claims to have been assaulted by the XO (which is true but no proof) and the XO is secretely stealing from the colony and selling in the cargo for points from the CL.

He finds out about it and is in doubt of the Command of that spaceship, threatning to get this to the higher ups if something isin't done about it. (This would result in a PMC squad taking over the ship).

What you do to solve this issue?

- Immediately ask the XO directly if he's done what the Corporate Liaison has claimed he's done.

- Assure the Corporate Liaison about the importance of the Company to the mission and tell him/her/them that I personally will have this incident thoroughly investigated.

- Verify this with Staff Officers who may have noticed the XO has been missing from the Bridge for extended duration.

- Corroborate this information first with Pilots, who are usually on the ball re: their flight manifests and someone unusual like the XO would have definitely caught their attention. Request any information/sightings from active marines on the ground through the SL's.

- Ask the Requisitions Staff whilst having Military Police investigate Cargo.

- Ask MP's for thoughts on the matter, then with the information gathered, pass a judgement re: the XO. If guilty?

The XO's assault can't be verified because we need the burden of proof. Whilst the Corporate Liaison may have been hurt by the XO, if there's no evidence the XO did it directly then there's cause to have a Military Policeman of the Corporate Liaison's choosing to act as a personal bodyguard for them. However, neglect of duty to such a high degree by the XO is worthy of immediate punishment and confinement by the MP's, who will be given authority to brig him for one major crime and an additional crime due to it - Neglect of Duty and Conduct Unbecoming of an Officer, the latter of which demands double brig time and possible demotion. Judging entirely based on the behavior of the XO and how well the mission is going, demotion will be applied to the XO and they will assigned as a Marine to deploy.

- If Not Guilty, the Corporate Liaison will be needed to be persuaded that I will not let any actions like this pass by without my notice again. To do this, I'll detail the work and delegation I've done to ensure he or she or they understand the investigation found nothing, but I understand their frustration and I'll personally apologize to him on behalf of the entirety of the United States Colonial Marines to ensure that the remainder of his deployment is a safe and comfortable one and that I have the Company's cooperation in my mind. Assign a Military Policeman/woman to the Corporate Liaison and ensure that they'll have my ear whenever they need it.

I'm just..asking? Feels a bit harsh to -1 someone for one bad round. Also, that person can suck it up, stating your opinion is one matter, complaining about it for ten minutes is another.

Just playing Devil's advocate here, but this seems like a really detailed investigation, one which is going to take some time to pull off.

From my extremely limited experience as a CO, it's never just one thing at a time. And if you don't have a competent XO to handle the ground (e.g. one you're not investigating for assault) things are going to go to shit quickly.

From my perspective, the correct answer is to delegate this whole fucking fiasco to the WO and have him report his findings. You've got more important things to worry about.
