Marine Name (so we know who you are; if you play alien mostly, state that here): McKenzie Swabey
Name/Designation of the Synth Character you’re requesting to use (Follows common naming rules, and requires a first name with no last name): Ross
Are you familiar with the Synthetic Programming and Guidelines (viewtopic.php?f=57&t=14417)?: Yes.
Synthetic Character Story (An ADEQUATE description and story of your Synthetics actions and involvement in a previous mission onboard the Almayer):
Ross was one of many synthetics created by Weyland Yutani and purchased by the USCM for use aboard their ships. What distinguished him (and a few others throughout the product line chosen with that quirk) from other synthetics was his programmed sense of 'dry' humor and sarcasm - that is, making jokes about people, current situations, and such that could be seem as having a 'darker' sense of humor. He would be the kind to make a clever joke or insult in a completely conversational manner that didn't acknowledge the humor or any reaction it may incur. Among the rough and tumble marines, he was very popular and many enjoyed talking to him because he had a 'good sense of humor'. The command and crew staff however were sometimes less receptive to this, as they felt he was a, quote, 'dick'. However it was accepted by all that as a perfectly functioning Synth that could do their job just fine, it was worth bearing with.
His first call to action was when the Almayer was enroute to a destination some weeks away from the nearest base, thus requiring the use of cryosleepers. Doing what was needed to keep the ship clean and functional, he enjoyed the peace and tranquility, though he missed being around marines who were much more receptive to him. Unfortunately for him and the crew, a UPP raiding group had caught information that most of the combat crew was cryo'd and decided it would be a fine time to attack the ship. The plan was clear-cut - board the ship, get to the Bridge, remotely disable the sleepers' life support systems (killing the marines), and finish off the crew with superior firepower. And abracadabra, free ship!
The raiding party's efforts were initially successful, but they were spotted by the Military Police en-route to the Bridge. Panicking, the UPP took the bridge and its occupants hostage to buy time, knowing that both the MPs and the engineering crew would be trying in their respective ways to sabotage their efforts. Ross was in the bridge at this time, and thus was taken hostage as well. The MPs outside the bridge attempted to negotiate, but felt that it would go nowhere after 2 hours of talking. Finally, they decided to gear up and breach, hoping they could neutralize the team before the command team was killed.
Then the MPs busted open the doors and started rushing in. The world seemed to slow down for Ross. Looking to the side, he noticed the strike team commander leveling a pistol at the Commander, evidently in a last ditch effort to kill someone of importance. Ross, processing quickly, did what would be most logical while still following his no-weapons doctrine. Reaching out, he grabbed the strike team commander's arm and quickly tried to wrestle away the pistol. In the very brief struggle that followed, Ross was shot just as the MPs managed to gun down the intruders.
Once the smoke was cleared and his injury repaired, Ross was commended for his quick thinking that may well have saved his Commander's life and lauded by the crew. Ross responded with mild amusement and was eager enough to get back to his duties.
How do you intend to play your Synth (as in, describe HOW you will act/play your Synth and what support roles you’ll mainly focus on, what is your synthetics quirk): Although I'm capable of all support roles, I'd like focus on custodial and engineering work, alongside interacting with the marines and crew (these two settings allow for the most interaction under calmer circumstances, marines likely wont be much for talking when they're unconscious and have several broken bones from combat.) When required I could run over and do whatever task needs doing, but the latter would be my choice if there was enough of other crew jobs. As mentioned in the backstory, Ross' quirk would be his deadpan sense of humor and sarcasm that would elicit varying reactions from those around him.
How familiar are you with support roles? (ie; Medical, MT, Science, SO): I've played all of them a good amount and understand the concepts of them just fine.
Why should we whitelist you?: I enjoy higher RP which I implemented when I could as a Marine. I was also whitelisted for a different high RP role (Predator) at some point which shows I have some decent capability in it.
Have you been banned from CM in the last month for any reason (we will check, and lies may result in immediate denial)?: No.
Are you currently banned from any other servers and if so, why?: I am not.
Do you understand that any player - donor or otherwise - can have their whitelist status revoked should they break our rules or the Synthetic Programming Guideline?: Yes.

Re: Scrat's Synth App
Now, I'm not claiming to be any authority on things like this, and my criticism probably should be taken with a pinch of salt, but the story seems lackluster, the quirk seems rather common across the apps, and the why you should be whitelisted section seems a little short. I'll not give any +1's or -1's, just my two cents.
Charlton 'Stiffy' Cavalet-I'm probably in the CIC (or CL's office), by choice or RNG, who knows.
9/19 Wins per rounds ratio as Commander
I also play as the synthetic named Lucien, and I am an ex-mentor.

Re: Scrat's Synth App
The quirk was one I had decided on independently of other apps, just one I thought I could play well. As for the rest they are fair points. Under the Why, I will expand slightly: I listed why I could be trusted with such a role because of similar whitelists. I've been interested in Synths since I first caught wind of their development a few months ago, as they offer a unique RP perspective and is a good passive role to play when you're not feeling up for marine shooty combat.

Re: Scrat's Synth App
This is denied.
You were removed from Admin for abusing your powers and spawning yourself in as a snowflake character multiple times with no event or RP reason.
We wont be whitelisting you for important roles given your past behavior and abuse.
