One's with MS Paint maps. Those are always the best.

I don't play as either but I do appreciate when they have different strategies other than what the usual ones would be. Making use of the normandy for more than just CAS or perhaps a FOB in the jungle on LV. Those sorts of plans may not work out any better but it helps encourage fights in different locations and help them be carried out in different ways, which keeps the engagements engaging and fresh and the game more exciting than it might be otherwise.

Re: Favorite CO strategies.
Personally I love trying to use LZ2 as the main FOB. The only issue with that is when the fog drops the queen can steal the Alamo.
Other than that, having a LZ closer to tablefort really helps with wounded and infected.
As for maps like Ice Colony and Solaris...
I perfer the usual 3 scouts 1 fob w/ one of the scouts swinging by engineering. Though I've tried stuff like having everyone scout or everyone fob and usually it goes terribad terrifast. But hey, variety is the spice of life, no?

My favorite strategy is to join the round, say "goodnight" and hit up that cryo room.

my favorite strategy is to join the round, field execute the first baldie i see, then ssd without cryoing : ^ )
Pretty much anything that induces a different round I like. It's difficult to pull off, but it results in much more variety than your vanilla lv rounds.

Re: Favorite CO strategies.
I tend to play more defensively when I command the marines. In general I prefer squads to hold the flanks of other squads (so having a squad hold medical while another holds hydro). I also like to try to encircle the aliens with flanks, though this is easier said then done.
I also give a unique operation name to every round I command. I have a list on google docs of all the names I have used so far in order to avoid repeating them.

Come to think of it, what if command can name the xenos as well?
