What other servers do you play on? Played vanilla SS13 once or twice before trying CM, stuck with it after that.

I would like to appeal for a lift on my job-ban as CMP/MP. Other command does not bother me, as I have not and do not intend to play them in the near future.

At around 9:00 PM (Melbourne, Australia time) while playing as a CMP I shot myself as I was failing to give a briefing. At the time, I decided to commit suicide as I was the only command staff online, I had to leave the game soon anyway, and I especially had no idea where to begin - the ship was in chaos, marines were firing at each other and I considered myself totally unprepared for the situation. I chose to shoot myself then and there for the perceived entertainment value, although I would like to stress that I have never done anything of the sort on any previous occasion - This was my first time "griefing", however at the time it didn't occur to me that what I was doing was a genuinely serious offence.

Looking back, I can understand why I was banned for this, and I fully acknowledge that it was a stupid thing to do. I would like to appeal this ban on the grounds that I have learned my lesson and won't repeat any such behaviour. CMP/MP are the only roles I play and enjoy under usual circumstances, so additionally I also have the prospect of losing my only real niche in Colonial Marines as another motivator to play sensibly. Once again, I have never griefed before this in SS13 nor in CM, and I promise I won't ever do so again.

Suicide is generally something you should always ahelp and get the go ahead from a moderator or admin unless ofcourse you're nested and infected or infected and know about chest bursting.

The reason suicide is generally frowned upon is because it's considered low RP to just shoot yourself for no real reason or a poor reason, That and it also locks out the job slot for the rest of the round.

It happened yesterday. You can appeal this in the future and it will probably be lifted, but we almost always deny appeals when the ban was <48 hours old unless it was a mistake.
