I'll say this right now and save everyone the trouble.

Unless you are a drone, Hivelord, or boiler (and queen I assume), you are fair game.

be you a young hunter, an elite sentinel or the mightiest of T3s, they have the freedom to hunt down most types of xenos to convert into trophies (within reason). This is because most "serpents" are very combat capable and even quite deadly, making them a very sought-after trophy.

My only problem with this, however, is the fact that Steel went for, of all aliens, a meek little runner. Nothing is stopping him from doing it rule-wise, but as a predator myself, I feel it is in poor sport to hunt down such weak creatures. Sure, he is still a newbie to the role and probably needs more practice, but still, he could have at least went for something a bit meatier.

Let alone the fact that he stunned you down without even giving you a chance to at least attempt to fight back. There are exceptions to this (such as fighting a hunter that constantly keeps tackling you, making it difficult to lay on the damage), but there wasn't even much of a struggle here.

I think, at the very least, maybe someone should remind Steel to be a bit more sporting to his prey, or at least find something a bit bigger instead of picking on the easy kills.
Sometimes, bravery comes from the most unlikely sources.

I understand that it wasn't a huge violation. That's why I only want a warning

I'll admit this kill, while technically within the code, may have been in poor sport. My personal code is to only hunt xenos that are T1 or T2 if they are mature or higher, as such I saw the Runner as sufficiently worthy prey.

I believe this Runner was the first xenomorph I killed in the match, and this was around the time the fog went down. I did spend most of the match trying to track and hunt some specific Mature Hunters but sadly they avoided me at all costs, so I decided to look for something else to hunt.

Also, to the best of my recollection I did stand my ground for several seconds before charging, I distinctly recall you "dancing" your xeno in circles (using ctrl+wasd) when I decloaked. If you had wished to not engage me you had that opportunity to flee, since you were mocking me I went in after I felt I gave you sufficient time to either commit to fight or try and run away.
This is war, survival is your responsibility.

No violation, you're fair-game.
Hunting swords ability is a knockdown and to avoid you instantly running away as you're faster you have to be killed quickly.
