Yes I am familiar with it and have brushed up on it before I started typing this application out.

How do you intend to play your predator (as in, describe HOW you will act/play your predator)?

My playstyle would be to focus more on the RP parts instead of “hunt x and y, take a trophy off them.”, I would focus more on RPing with them, as I can’t really RP with all the marines shooting at me, I would use traps to down them, then I’d drag them away from the group, hopefully lose the marines and then begin RPing with them in a far off location, if possible I’d use cuffs, not sure if it’s allowed though, if not, then I’d strip them of their weapons.

My RP with them would range from different scenarios, such as butchering a previously killed trophy in front of them and forcibly feeding them the remains of their comrades, then eventually fighting them and killing them. I want to focus more on making the whole thing enjoyable for both sides and to create more interesting RP scenarios.

Of course I’ll do the regular duels and fighting as some people like that while others may not, I find that I am more creative when doing the actual stuff, I would change things up every now and then to keep the round from being boring, if I see a worthy xeno prey, then I’d hunt them down and try to RP at times, however when there are times when RP won’t happen, I won’t try to force it and just roll with the punches.

Personally, I don’t like the idea of being a murder-boning pred, If possible I would try to hunt prey that are making it obvious that they WANT to kill me, thus expecting me to kill them in return, I would avoid ruining some poor guy’s round ‘cause I chose him, If it’s inevitable I would try to take personal items as trophies and leaving the body near his buddies if he proved to be quite resilient and worthy or try to capture them and RP it up to make them feel special.


Why should we whitelist you?

I believe I should be whitelisted as I have been part of this community for over a year and I believe I can help provide a fun and interesting experience for tons of new players we've been getting recently.

I like to think that I can role-play pretty well as i've regularly played on Baystation before the Torch update and since then have been playing on Apollo M-HRP, admittedly I have done some fairly low-rp things in the past but in the past few months I have been trying to uphold my roleplaying to a higher level and have been avoiding the low-rp memes and taking things seriously.

No I have not been banned from CM in the last month.

Are you currently banned from any other servers and if so, why?

No, I don't think i'm currently banned from other SS13 servers.

Looking through the app and playstyle. Even tipping him out through out the playstyle. Wagfle is a good guy and he rps quite a bit and it's fun. I think he would be a great addition to the hunt *+1

The story wasn't bad, it focused on something other than the fighting which was enjoyable. Maybe a few words were repetitive but thats it.

I've seen you around a good bit and you're a pretty competent player, I haven't had any bad RP with you so theres that too.

One thing you should note though, it's not easy to trap a marine and pull them away, you'll likely be chased down by the marines

I have had pretty good RP experiences with Wafflecone in the past, so I know he can RP fairly well. The story was a bit bland, but I know you would make a good pred none-the-less. I'd like to see you as a pred, and I think your play-style would be a good one to have in-game.

Ah, Waffles. There’s a name I know fairly damn well, and I can safely say I’d had nothing but good experiences with him, so that’s a stellar start.

The story is a curious one, I will admit. It’s written from a perspective not often used in the Yautja applications, so I can’t help but give you some credit for that. That said, the story itself is relatively bland. While literarily it is completely fine, it doesn’t really tell us overmuch about M’di H’chak himself. His fascination with his wrist-blades, certainly, and his vocal attitude are clearly marked, but I can’t say I ever really got a feel for what he was like when it comes down to the Hunt itself. It was just a quick matter of over and done with. All build up with no payoff, you know? And while naturally everyone has their own way of doing their character background, I can’t say this one really resonates with me.

Moving onto your playstyle, there are points I reckon are both positive and negative. To start on the lighter side, you identify some of the potential problems with predator aspirants: the KILL X CLAIM Y mentality. And you’re certainly right in your reasonings, no one wants to get 360 decapitated by some hunter’s scimitars without being able to get so much as a word in edgewise. And of course you mention your intent to simply roll with the punches if the situation requires it, something I’m always happy to see.
However what I do find a slight issue with is your proposed alternative. While snaring and dragging people off can definitely be fun (as well as totally canonical), dragging them across the map to basically have a heart-to-heart or butcher people in front of them doesn’t really strike me as… Predator-y? While it can certainly be useful for building a story, what worries me is that it has the potential to come across as goofy rather than menacing. Though I suppose that’s as much the burden of the captive marine as it is the predator. Of course, this may be some of my older-school mentality bleeding through, back before taking marines as captives was a fully fleshed out option, so I have to recognise my own bias there.

The gist of it is:
As much as I like you as a person and a player, and am absolutely glad that other people are giving you their votes, something about this app just strikes me as ‘off’. Perhaps I simply need some more time to mull it over, but for now I’m going to have to abstain.

Question regarding your name, usually a predator name has the first name and the clan name. Here you have 3 parts to it, care to explain?

Moving on to the story. A social predator is rare for someone to try and RP. Most predators as you imagine are solitary and solely focused on hunting. It'd be interesting to have a predator that tries to make friends and be social with others. Your story is pretty short, but it does describe your character pretty well. You skipped the scene of him becoming bloodied, may I ask why? Not that it's needed, but it would have added more to your story and they're always fun to read.

Not much to say about the story, it's not bad at all.

I like that you want to RP above all else. That's awesome.

Well, your app is good. It's simple but that's not a bad thing in my eyes, as long as it isn't bad.

Thanks for the feedback, although looking back on it, butchering the dead in front of them does seem a little bit goofy, snaring and dragging is only one of the various other things I plan to do to cause some RP, stuff like holding their friend hostage and demanding the person I hunt come out, interrogating that one lone marine that got seperated on the where-abouts of my prey.

Thanks for the feedback, the way I chose my name is that M'di means No, H'chak means Mercy, so I combined M'di H'chak to mean Merciless or No Mercy, in a way you could look at it as him being sadistic and merciless on his name, or in a different perspective as has no mercy on what he fears.
