STAR WARS BATTLEFRONT II BETA
So this sexy game has just came out for FREE and I'm wondering on what all of your opinions/thoughts on this game, which class is the best? And if its any better from the last star wars game.
Just A note that this game is FREE from the 6th - 9th of October and you can get it on Origin for any of you who don't know how to get it.

Meh, I was hoping for more focus on clone wars era, I still have yet to download the beta, but so far I'm asking myself "where the hell are Droidekas, General Grievieous..." etc etc, overall I'm probably gonna wait till all the DLC's are out and MAYBE buy it then, I'll talk some more when I actually get to playing it. :P

The one thing I learned, is the sector is NEVER CLEAR, seriously though for some reason there is never really a frontline, just mashed up close quarters fighting.

I mean, so far, I prefer the classic battlefront 2.
Squad Marine Alastair 'Yorkie' Kent is awarded the bronze heart medal: 'This standard marine was shot in the mouth and head while defending the front line of the Nexus against the enemy forces. This medal recognizes all those who were killed and wounded by friendly fire. His wounds are a small price to pay to keep the USCM strong. Issued by CMDR Carson'.
I did it!

The game seems hot, but I still like original BF2 better.

Original is so fun. It's 5 dollars on steam, and with mods its actually better than these new ones.
With the base game, it's equal, and it was released in the 90s.

It is actually $10 on Steam and was released with The Revenge of the Sith, so it came out in 2005.

Just recently installed it, (Yes, I know I'm a bit late to the party) and the open beta has been extended until this Wednesday, October 11th, for those of you who haven't gotten a chance to check it out yet. So far, I really like it. I think they've definitely expanded and improved on the Battlefront rendition that EA and Dice royally screwed over a few years ago, and they definitely made a beautifully aesthetic game. I absolutely hear everyone's thoughts on how it compared to the original Battlefront II, and I absolutely agree. Personally, Battlefront II was such a big part of my childhood, there is no way anything is going to be able to come close to replacing it, but this does a decent job at rekindling some nostalgia all the while giving the game that much needed modern twist. At the end of the day, though, don't go into it with the mindset of comparing it to the original BFII, it won't be the same and you'll be disappointed, so just try to keep an open mind and I'm sure you'll find some interest in it.I haven't pre-ordered many games, but this is one I definitely will.

Pretty much like real combat nowadays.

Now I do like this game but.... Fucking lootcrates man the fact that you gotta use 'scrap' (in game currency) to buy a gun but you can only earn this 'scrap' from loot crates which you earn every level up or buy them so yeah.... gg EA

Lootcrates are getting ridiculous, way out of hand. I played a bit of the beta and I like the game as well though. Hopefully they tweak the dumb lootcrate stuff.
