Reason for ban (If you have a Permaban, it should be the EXACT MESSAGE YOU GET WHEN YOU LOGIN with the Error code that looks like this: X##XXX##. If you do not provide this EXACTLY you can't be unbanned): "Threatening to DDOs the Server. This isn't really a threat, because we rent a VPS from a data-centre, and have FAIR amount of bandwidth, and DDOS protection through the company."

Your appeal, including evidence (screenshots, etc): Recently I have downloaded WineSkin Winery for Mac so I can enjoy Colonial Marines on my Mac laptop when I'm away from my PC at home, and I found a download on one of the Byond forums that someone had created a way for Byond to be run in a Wineskin Wrapper (which considering what has now happened I guess the creator or another downloader has used it for some bad stuff on the servers). I downloaded it and crossed my fingers it would work, and unfortunately it didn't. I was able to log in with my username however I was unable to launch a game of any sort as I would receive a 'ban' type message like the one listed above in the Reason for ban section, and then the program itself would shut down. I returned home tonight to see if I can log in on my regular desktop PC and the same ban showed up on my screen despite being on a totally different computer. A friend of mine (whose appeal is linked above as his is the same as mine as we're in similar situations) logged into my account on his home computer to see if the problem could be resolved, however the same message appeared on his computer. After attempting to log in to his account after logging out of mine, he has received the same ban. I won't be using Wineskin anymore to attempt to play SS13 or Colonial Marines on my Mac and will solely be playing it on my PC at home, and I can assure with the utmost confidence that I was not attempting to go through with a DDO attack as the server thought I might be, but only trying to play this great game on my Mac while I was away from home. Well first of all, if you keep trying to login via the CKEY, doesn't mean it's an IP ban. Even if you change PCs and locations, the Ckey itself is banned, not your IP. Can't say 100% if it is your Ckey. Did you try about byond account?

I tried making a brand new account to log in and see if that was the issue, but the new account got banned too, even though it was a new username and email and everything, so I’m guessing it might be the IP. Not sure what else to do at the moment

I believe wineskin basically runs the same IP for everyone who uses it which means one person was a cunt and fucked it up for everyone. You'll have to wait until Apop can get around for this to see if he can exclude your ckey to the ban.

It uses the same CID not IP.

WineSkin uses the same CID for everyone.

Unfortunately for mac users, some fuckhead decided to grief on a bunch of servers to get the CID for Wineskin blocked.

I've whitelisted your name, but there's a chance other bans may grab it. Let me know if they do and I'll adjust the whitelist accordingly.

Thank you so much, it works absolutely perfectly at the moment! Sorry for the whole kerfuffle, but thank you so much for getting around to this for me! Just wanted to check in to see if my friend NEzara (who mentioned me in their original post and have clarified in their recent response) would still be banned? They're in a similar boat to me, because after trying to log in with my account on their PC (with my permission) to see what was going on, they got IP banned as well because of being affiliated with my account. Is there any chance they'll be unbanned or is that one still being investigated?
