Do you understand that any player - even donors or staff members - can have their whitelist status revoked should they break our Server Rules or Roleplay Guidelines?
Absolutely. I fully understand how heavily scrutinized people who play CO can be and how its a very serious role taken very seriously. Being a trusted member of staff might rightfully so make the roll easier to earn, but they can lose their whitelist just like the rest of us. Command makes or breaks rounds for marines so someone who's just going to fuck around with it and consistently misuse it doesn't deserve to earn it or keep it.
Why should you be whitelisted?
I'll start off with a bit of a resume/list of qualifications. I've been consistently playing on the server for around 7ish months with a lot of time logged as either XO or SO, so I feel as though I have a fantastic grasp on how command works taught by some of the best in how to lead a team of marines to an enjoyable round at the very least, if not always ending in a win.
Additionally I've played almost every non-whitelisted role on the the server exceptions being MP,(Though I've CMP'd at least once, maybe twice?) CE, CT,(I've however RO'd many many times.) and Doctor/CMO,(Though I've done doctor work as the RnD man more then once.) and lastly anything xeno. I can safely say I know the in's and out's of just about everything the marine teams has going on with it as any good CO should, however my knowledge of the ayy's inner works is limited only to what I've seen in the rare youtube video or spectating as a ghost. I don't count my work as XRT as anything meaningful as I was basically insta killed both times because of how bad I was just trying to even learn the controls.
If I'm whitelisted I don't feel as though I'd stray far from the meta as far as FOB local and starting orders go. I know that can hurt a lot of peoples ratings when people vote for them but I honestly just like doing what works best but with whatever improvements my leadership or my own little additions to it can add. If I were any of you I wouldn't expect in a round lead by me to see many LZ-2 FOB's or many times where the starting squad orders aren't: 2 scouts, 1 Power, 1 FOB. But my goals will be to deliver those orders in a way that excites the marines, giving them the best starting moral possible with the motivation to put up a good fight against whatever it is they end up fighting. On top of that I strive to give good adjustments to those orders as the situation calls for it.
A little different from the usual though is I'm a BIG fan of sending down any spare shipside crew we have such as the occasional fifth SO we find ourselves with. The SO would likely work along side the topside RO to organize supply deliveries to the squads on the ground who might not be heard because they're talking on the planetside common radio. Or sending a doctor down to work along side the SO to do minor surgeries on slightly wounded marines, with a focus on as many small surgeries as often as possible, as well as screening healthy troops trying to pointlessly leave the planet to get out of fighting (Unless they need to cryo.). I really enjoy sending down shipside crew to the FOB because they're much more controllable then any normal marine because they're isolated in their lack of a squad. If I send down a MT I trust, I know they aren't going to run off and Rambo. They're going to help reinforce the FOB and be one more line of communication we'll have with the ground. That or they'll risk death via alien or death via Job ban for leaving the secured FOB.
Oh and to prove to the 1 or 2 people who might worry about me writing long ass briefings but not pre-typing them, thus taking 10 minutes for a single briefing. Here's a pre-typed briefing just for you in the spoiler section below! I hope it shows some creativity and RP what nots that impress you all enough to over look my old old days of fairly low RP when I first started out, or my past but not so past days of RP fit for a simple marine but totally unfit for someone of command rank. For the CO role I fully intend to show that I'm completely serious about sticking to the rules and RP guidelines. I've wanted to make a CO app for months but I was never sure that I was ready for it. Now I'm finally feeling ready, that I've matured enough as a player to get in there and lead the men from the tip of the top.
Thank you all for reading. I hope you all find me fit to serve. I welcome any criticisms of my character and if anyone might have ant special worries I'd like to do my best to dispel concerns any you might have before you vote negatively against me, veteran players and staff especially as your the biggest judges that I'm extremely terrified of writing this all. I've tried studying CO apps for about as long as I've been on the forums and I've tried real hard to get this right. I keep adding on little bits here at the end because Im so nervous of the possible rejection. Its terrifying. But do your worst, I need to earn this!
I can't wait to give this all a go if ya'll have me.
(The poll btw, I did the hell yeah or hell na and the jokey question only because it isn't mandatory anymore. so I just did it to be a bit different and in my eyes pretty funny.)
