So that UPP vs round...

Post by Jagdges » 29 Oct 2017, 02:12

5/7 would spend 30 minutes in triage alone again.

I saw someone lose a hand in about ten seconds to a Dragunov and then there was a guy in medical who had half a head.

What's the word from the big bosses that maybe one day that'll become a game mode?

I'm really hoping that UPP/CLF colony invasions and bad blood predator massacres become standardized round types, perhaps designed to be shorter and faster paced than xeno rounds (i.e. most would end after about one hour) just to mix up the pace without muscling out standard xeno rounds too much.

A 10-20% chance rate once we can randomize gamemodes would be fantastic. So many more types of injury happen so it's a change of pace for the medical personnel as well. The only issues are of course that new maps would need to be made for the invaders.

I enjoyed it lots tbh. I think this one was a lot more enjoyable than the CLF invasion ones prior. Also, the incentive to capture POWS in exchange for goodies is a great idea.

I was hand loss guy! Got nailed by our own sniper, then accused by a PMC of killing four marines after sitting on the floor almost all round in pain crit with an infection. Sure, bro.

I was the guy that accused you! I was basically a war criminal for how I treated the prisoners. No one died but that doesn't mean they didn't suffer. That's what I liked about this event, it felt more personal, more intense.

I was the comrade doctor Xue!, Started out as a standard then swapped bodies with a medic then got access to CMO Level medical skills and proceeded to conduct surgery using a glass shard for a scalpel for about fourty minutes until a lovely adminbusser spawned me in a scalpel, Then medbay fell while i was conducting surgery on winter to fix the armlessness, Surrendered instantly cause i wasn't gonna pick a fight then got grenaded by PMC's and handcuffed alongside repeatedly beaten while there were about six treatable and four dead but saveable marines / UPP / PMC's lying on the floor around me. 10/10 round would never fire a bullet and get treated as a war criminal again!

The best part was that, the Marines captured like probably 10 UPP total, but until the last 20-30 minutes they executed everyone groundside while the UPP turned theirs in for platoons of reinforcements. When they did turn them it, it was 4 at once for 3 platoons and a bunch of weapons.

The best bit for me was towards the end when I ended up in the western caves and I found my Staff Sergeant who was all by himself, bleeding out, with a decapitated corpsman, a PMC and a dead Soviet.

Yeah, finding out what happened there was interesting. Turns out the Soviet whooped the shit out of them before getting killed. I yelled at the PMC to drag the corpsman's headless corpse. Was great.

What's the chance we'll see more of this in the future? This was far and away better than the PMC one we did a couple weeks back.

These rounds require a lot more doctors and OR rooms than we currently have in medbay. I think every surgeon that round did 20+ surgeries, and we still had at least 5 left over that needed surgery.

CL was pretty fun. Would have tried to do some negotiations and such with the UPP if I hadn't found papers at LZ-1 stating that even civies like myself were KOS. Trying to solid snake my way into the caves to rescue Bill Nye before he got executed was fun. I got past maybe 5 UPP using Bino's to stay out of sight. Much fun was had.

7/10 Would shoot a man who was willingly giving himself up again.

Found a marine at the end who was beaten, haylie something, talked about how bill nye talked about global warming rather than give up the nuclear codes. He died because they ran out of prisoners to shoot if he wouldn't talk. Haylie bled out half way to the Alamo before the round ended

Perhaps in lore "...with the newly discovered threat of the Union of Progessive Peoples in the Tachyon's Rift sector the USCM Material Command allocated more funding to the USS Almayer allowing for the addition of surgical pods to the medbay."

I spent 1 hour and 40 minutes in pain crit on the ground. I honestly think you'd be better off dead than wounded as a UPP because they have no doctors and your odds of getting treated are minuscule compared to the odds of just getting a slot on the next reinforcements wave.

It was going alright until the marines flanked med and took out some doctors then the backlog grew 3 times faster.
