Byond ID:
Mizolo
Marine Name (so we know who you are; if you play alien mostly, state that here):
Anekcahap Volkov (I have many different variations of a nick-name, so I didn't include it)
I also like to play xeno a lot more lately, but I like to hang back and evolve to mature T1 or T2 before going out.
Name/Designation of the Synth Character you’re requesting to use (Follows common naming rules, and requires a first name with no last name): Dandre
Examples of acceptable names: James, Mason, Xavier, Felix, Otto, Allan, Jessica
Examples of unacceptable names: Obama, Jesus, King, Dragon, Godly, Snyper, Circuits
Are you familiar with the Synthetic Programming and Guidelines (
http://cm-ss13.com/viewtop ... 57&t=14417)?
Yes ... I understand that the USCM does not have combat synthetics as is to obey all orders.
Synthetic Character Story (An ADEQUATE description and story of your Synthetics actions and involvement in a previous mission onboard the Almayer):
Dandre's log:

I booted up rather slowly today, but after I had awoken I quickly got dressed into my uniform, ready for the ... day? ... no ... there is no night or day in space ... I figured day would just be easier to use.
I greeted the commander on the communications given to me, a simple head-set, simple in design, simple to use. He liked simple.
The commander called me to the CIC urgently.
I met the CO on the deck and he greeted me.
"Ah, how are you doing Dandre?"
I was puzzled by the question
"I fail to understand the question ... are you referring to mental, physical, or emotional health?"
The commander sighed ... a sign that people were frustrated or ... what was the word? ... He looked through his data-base and found it. Malcontented.
"I meant mental and physical, but that's beside the point Dandre, I have a task for you."
I waited and he continued
"We have a problem ... on the planet there is an experimental anti-matter materials production facility that are in UPP hands. We have destroyed all UPP forces, but even our maintenance technicians and the Chief Engineer himself says it's too risky, and that it might detonate at any moment."
I nodded, understanding the situation.
"You fail to understand Dandre ... this is the first possible anti-matter bomb threat the human race has ever dealt with, and you know how devastating the effects will be if it goes off."
I responded.
"Actually, I don't, what is the supposed mass of the anti-matter?"
There was a long silence.
"Around 2 kilograms"
I immediately did the calculations in my head ... and "felt" horrified at the results.
"85.92 mega-tons of TNT. More than that of the TSAR bomb."
The commander nodded.
"Get down there, everyone is evacuated ... well ... except for 2 people that will lead you to the particle accelerator."
I went down, curious as to what I would have seen. So far, humanity would have to spend over a century just to get 16 ounces of anti-matter. This one made 2 kilograms in just under a month. How was this even possible?
I arrived at the planet to see the 2 MT's that would escort me to the site, dressed in hazmat suits ... wouldn't help if it went off.
We arrived at the Penning trap containing the anti-matter, right next to the particle accelerator.
On the way here I was wondering ... how on EARTH do I "defuse" such a device? You can't blow it up ... you can't get rid of the base materials like in a normal bomb. If it touched normal air, it would immediately annihilate, causing detonation.
Then suddenly, I had it.
I looked for the fusion reactor that powered the plant, then proceeded to power it down and empty it of the current molecules.
The fusion reactor was a mini-particle accelerator itself, but much more powerful in magnetics, so it could contain it.
I put a portion of the anti-matter in, and started the fusion reactor up.
Of course the MT's and the CO were yelling at me.
"WHAT ARE YOU DOING, ARE YOU TRYING TO GET YOURSELF KILLED WITH US?"
"The opposite, in fact" I said in response.
I knew what I was doing.
When the anti-matter turned into oxy-gen, I stopped, and put it back into the anti-matter container, which had a fire-starter in it.
"There may be a boom, but don't worry, if it all goes south ... well ... it was good to know you" I said
I then lit the lighter.
There was a massive explosion.
Then all was still, and faded ... to static.
Commander note: The explosion was a reaction from anti-hydrogen and anti-oxygen, the perfect mixing formula for dealing with this situation. In order to get rid of anti-matter, you can't just let it annihilate, as it will be much bigger, but the synthetic's reasoning for detonating it that way was to have it detonate, though much smaller. The MT's were virtually un-harmed in the explosion ... as they were out-side of the building, but the synthetic was seriously injured and had to almost be re-constructed from pure scratch. The only thing the synthetic could have done differently was told me what he was doing before he set it off. Though I suppose it is partially my fault for not asking as many questions during the procedure.
How do you intend to play your Synth (as in, describe HOW you will act/play your Synth and what support roles you’ll mainly focus on, what is your synthetics quirk)?
For my synthetic he likes things crystal clear, he doesn't compute "obscure" statements as well as humans, things that can go 2-ways. (E.G: Ya know if you were to drink bleach I wouldn't care right?)
For him, human behavior is unpredictable and can always go 2, or even 3-ways. In the example, are they being sarcastic just to make a point? Or are they actually sincere in what they say if that were to happen?
You will often find my synthetic saying "Please explain ..." or "define ..." in a lot of situations.
My synthetic in other words, requires detail in orders, making it more "infuriating" to people who try to command him.
Though simple orders like "Can you throw this away?" or "Hey Dandre, can you go check on medbay and see what's going on with the researcher?"
How familiar are you with support roles? (ie; Medical, MT, Science, SO)
Medical: I know how to do surgery, mix chemicals, and know how to properly perform "experiments".
MT: I know how to run and operate engineering, electronics, and engines.
SO/Command: I've had a fair amount of experience in the command chair. More than that of Med-sci and MT.
Why should we whitelist you?
I believe I bring a unique character onto the stage for the Almayer. Not just because of his quirk of needing specification on things, but also playing more often as synthetic, because I don't see many people play synthetic, and it's kinda sad. I know that many people find it boring because you "can't use weapons" and can't "cuck xeno scum". But if i'm to be blunt, I actually enjoy the RP experience more than combat.
Have you been banned from CM in the last month for any reason (we will check, and lies may result in immediate denial)?
Ummm ... I MIGHT have ... but I don't believe so, PLEASE correct me if i'm wrong, I play ... maybe a little too much.
Are you currently banned from any other servers and if so, why?
I am not currently banned from any other server.
Do you understand that any player - donor or otherwise - can have their whitelist status revoked should they break our rules or the Synthetic Programming Guideline?
Yes, the USCM does not have any combat synthetics, and never will. They are also to obey all orders given by command.
