Can hostile responders aid the marines?

UPP wants the ship, but if xenos are winning, can UPP fight on the marines side until they see chance to down both the xenos and marines?

CLF, I guess, want to destroy the Almayer. So if it looks believable that marines will self destruct the ship, can they help hold the SD room?

I think so, but it entirely depends on whether or not the marines dont shoot the responders.

It depends more so on the players I think, there have been many occasions where UPP or CLF distract the xenos so I can break out of a nest, come to help them fight, then I get turned into swiss cheese. I imagine some players treat it as an us vs. them instead of us. vs the marines and aliens.

If you're asking if it's against the rules, no. You're allowed to bargain with the marines, since what the UPP and CLF REALLY want is for them to just screw off and stop threatening their sovereignty.

Yes, they can, in fact it is a good strategy to purge all the xeno scum so you can proceed to purge marine scum with ease.

But depends on the marines.

The Objective of Hostile ERTs is to take out the Almayer from the Sector by any means possible.

If ayys are at the SD doors, they CAN help the marines, but don't expect them to be so happy to have you on their side knowing both ICly and OOCly that you are allowed to backstab them.
