Dual smg's, a meme or a monster?

So, I always like to use pistols or sidearms as they add that sweet, sweet AESTHETIC to my character.

In my own experience, I've found that
1.pistols are weak and don't have good enough penetration but have good accuracy and ammo
2.revolvers hit like a truck but low accuracy and low ammo make them pretty ineffective
3.Smg's mix good ammo count, good accuracy, and good damage. The only problem with them is the holster has no extra ammo storage.

So I wanted the community's opinion on the effectiveness of Dual weaponry, specifically the SMG. (yes I know the dual gyro m41a is superior but just...ew)

Dual revolvers is 100% cowboy mode and if you're quick with the "page up" (or page down i forget) key you can become quite a force to be reckoned with. Dual pistols, especially the 88mod, make you feel like a badass John Wu cop. Dual SMGs, however, are kinda just poo, maybe kinda good with BFA and RDS.

When it comes to dual wielding, gyros are the true OP.

• Dual gyro M41As is absolutely robust

• Dual gyro shottys is Aoi Bell territory, however effective it may be.

• Dual gyro M4RAs are absolute slaughter

• Dual gryo M42As is a warcrime.

And as for dual Mateba? Well, you'd have to kill an Admiral AND a Commander to get a hold of a loadout like that...

Pistol accuracy is actually pretty bad. From 4 tiles away, you are very likely to miss a shot. I don't "shoot" with revolvers or pistols, I blank them. It does more damage and I know what I'm hitting. I do not care for dual wielding on guns that are SUPPOSED to have them, I just don't. You do you.

Dual Shottis arent only for Hahoi Bell, alot of robust players use that combination.
Dual M42A ... better welp.
Dual M41A ... killer.

If you're quick enough, you can use dual shotties to buckshot stun with one and send the xeno to crit with buckshot using the other. Assuming you're quick enough with X or Pageup that is

I’ve killed a mature crusher with dual SMGs before. They’re really deadly with RDS and Extended barrel on burstfire.

Also, gyro shotguns with recoil comps are my new love.

Dual SMGs on burstfire will destroy anything short of a crusher/upgraded Queen within 4 tiles, within three seconds. It's the best thing for a player who knows how to outjuke xenos.

If you're an engineer, you can always guarantee AP rounds on your SMGs. But I don't know about this dual SMGs with attachments thing, your RO ever give you four attachments?

ROs usually don’t give you many attachments unless you’re known or you’ve made friends with the CT. Long story short, make friends in cargo mains.

Since I've started to SL main I just wave my rank around and give a reasonable excuse and they give me what I ask for. Plus I usually don't ask for too much so when I do they understand, at least if they know me

Now that RO got revamped (thanks again Devs, you're fucking angels !), it's way easier to get the cool kids attachments.
