Yeah would be good, but then we would have to stop getting meals out of vending machines. Besides, doesn't the movie do the whole 'prepackaged space food' bit? Or am I just thinking of something else...

The food comes in trays, and one marine's complaint gives further credence to it not having been touched by a loving cook's hands.
Then again, Burke also accepts food from Bishop without qualm, and he's probably used to good food.
