I call it "the high noon"
Load up on 9 revolvers. 5 in your satchel, 1 in armor, 1 in belt holster, and 2 in hand. New York reload until you only have 1 left, then use the belt speed loaders. Profit??
Bonus points if you throw the dry revolvers at the xenos for that added cool factor

Re: I call it "the high noon"
Nope, I've tried this a bunch of times and the fire rate was so shit that damage was p much negligible unless you have god like aim and fight against T1s. Dual M4A3 might be better, but you are only good against T1s and maybe T2s without taking into account upgrade level and pheromones.
The ammo capacity of revolvers also limits how long the load out will last. If you carry revolvers in your suit, satchel, and both hands, you only have 56 bullets. If you carry an ammo rig, that means you're holding an additional 35 bullets only. An M41A is way better with both damage and how much ammo you can carry.
Given how long the revolver load out lasts and the lack of damage, it's not that fun either

Re: I call it "the high noon"
I could just apply for staff right now. Solely for banning everyone that does that
You will never be as bad as the baldie who picked up a tactical shotgun while a hunter was pouncing on top of a CMO for 4 seconds, with his only response being to pace around before being decap'd by said hunter. You are not Brett Kimple, and you never will be. You are not the reason why I regular MP.

Re: I call it "the high noon"
If the revolver actually did the damage a .44 magnum typically does, You'd probably see more people using it. The fire rate, low ammo count & rather slow reload make for a deathly combo to the user = shit & pointless. Only good for the aesthetic feel.
If sidearms worked like sidearms do and: Shoot faster, do slightly more but less than the M39 SMG, and the caliber was changed from 9mm to .45 acp (like in the Movie, Vasquez uses a 1911 to kill a Xenomorph in the vents with like 5-7 shots) then it'd be viable as a self defense weapon. Else you're better off with a toolbox. Same applies for the SMG, else there's no reason to not go M41 Rifle, in my opinion.

Even the pulse rifle feels weak honestly. I enjoy using it though, because it's super satisfying when I get a kill with it.CraayyZ wrote: ↑07 Dec 2017, 12:03If the revolver actually did the damage a .44 magnum typically does, You'd probably see more people using it. Put a bayonet on each of them and now throwing your dry revolver has some combat use other than making xenos stop and laugh for a second

Re: I call it "the high noon"
I call it "autism".
Revolvers have a very slow bullet speed, mentioning too that xenos have a RNG to dodge the bullet.
So, you will have to be lucky and have a very, very impressive aim, is better you use a M41A with EB/RDS/BFA who
have a massive bullet firing speed and can take T1s in one burst.

Re: I call it "the high noon"
the point isn't to robust all the xenos, the point is to try it. of course it doesn't work, but if you get a kill you'll be a godDrownie wrote: ↑31 Dec 2017, 02:43I call it "autism".

Re: I call it "the high noon"
What's the point on trying something who you already know that does not work?
I think there's no fun on having revolver instead of rifles.

Because every once in a while you find a combo that does work, like shotgun flamer or dual SMGs

Re: I call it "the high noon"
The best I’ve done with a revolver was gunnin down a wounded praetorian that stunned me at point blank with AP rounds. Or tagging a runner 6 times with it. Tag a hunter twice with it, its likely to run away.
The thing is it can hit like a truckbut only if you manage to hit.
So, should it be your main weapon? No.
Sidearm? Oh yeah. Just keep in mind that if you lose a hand you wont be able to reload it.

Re: I call it "the high noon"
It only works if you can beg MPs for a shoulder holster and get a Smock from a spec so you can have a total of 12 Reovolvers, then beg Cargo for 12 RCs and QFs
