Job Ban: The Return of Job Ban

Post by False_Enigma » 27 Dec 2017, 00:49

Your Byond ID: FalseEnigma

Character Name: Alex 'Enigma' Nebek, Hugh 'hugo' howards

Type Of Ban (Job-ban, Timed Ban, Permaban): Job ban

Admin who banned you (if known): unknown

Total Ban Duration: 4eva

Remaining Duration:4eva

What other servers do you play on? Fallout, TG, FTL

Are you now or have you been banned on any servers? Which ones? Goon, yog, got banned on my first time playing.

Reason for ban (If you have a Permaban, it should be the EXACT MESSAGE YOU GET WHEN YOU LOGIN with the Error code that looks like this: X##XXX##. If you do not provide this EXACTLY you can't be unbanned): The new one to add to this is SL. I got job banned from SL for putting a gun in my mouth for RP, then getting disarmed by the guy who told me to kill myself. I was told it wasn't a very SL thing to do. However, it was extremely low pop, there were no doctors on, and I was missing a leg. suicide was completely called for. I even went got dragged to cryo after I got revived because I couldn't get a new leg.

Link to previous appeals for the same ban (if applicable): viewtopic.php?f=87&t=14525 Your appeal, including evidence (screenshots, etc):
I've talked to a few admins about this. If any of them see this they might even stick up for me. I genuinely enjoy this game, and on top of that, I try to be a good player. all my previous mistakes have been made while learning the system, normally finding the boundaries of what I can and can't do, which, to be fair, I think I've done incredibly well.

I'm sure there are plenty of other players that can verify I play well within the rules and can handle playing more than the 4 or so roles I have left to play. I'm literally job banned from anything with a modicum of power, as well as response teams. I'm even willing to serve penance, however I may, to regain my job privileges. At this point, I've learned so many things NOT to do, I'd make a great mentor.

I've played with Alex multiple times, and I personally do enjoy them as a player, moreso Hugo now a days, and I find them to be more competent then when I first met them long ago. I'm willing to offer a +1 for a second chance at SL.

I don't know, your history is filled with some pretty LRP (Low Role Play) stuff overall. That said, you have been getting better over time. It's been a while so I think we may be able to get this lifted. A piece of advise; if you're going to play a little less seriously, don't do so in a priority role like SL.
Ban Appeal Users: If I've lifted your perma ban and you're still unable to log onto the server, send me a forum PM regarding it and I'll work to get it fixed in ~24 hours.

Emerald Blood: CM's mommy and the only head staff who does anything. Even though I hate you all sometimes, I still love you.

To be fair, some of these are from an extreme amount of RP. It's about finding balance.
And keeping apop happy.
And not burning down the server.

So you disposal-ed him?

That's not RP, that's grief.

To be fair I was compliant with that ban and I'm not contesting it. I'm just merely giving a reason.

I think that calling it HRP (High Role Play) is just a shitty excuse for why you got banned. Regardless, onto the ban itself. I assume you've been active on the server itself? If that's the case, this ban was placed a while ago so I think that we could get this lifted, assuming the past statement is true. If you get this lifted, stay active on the server, and go a month without getting any negative notes, you may even be able to get the command ban lifted. All that said, it's up to what Apop decides in the end.

That would be rad. Especially getting the response team ban lifted.
