Robotic Potato's Commander App
Byond ID: Robotic Potato
Player name you use the most: Irene 'RB' Rockfelt
Make a list of links to all of your applications and (job)ban appeals, including whitelist and staff apps, within the last year. Also, provide "Ban reason; Verdict" beside each (job)ban link: viewtopic.php?f=124&t=15113
Do you understand that any player - even donors or staff members - can have their whitelist status revoked should they break our Server Rules or Roleplay Guidelines?
Of course.
Do you understand how the Battlefield Execution functions?
Paraphrased from Marine Law, Commanders and Admirals of the Almayer may execute any indivual under their command without notice if they believe they are a threat to the Almayer's current mission, it can also only be used on imprisoned individuals if a standard execution isn't possible. If the MPs have concerns the CO must state the reasoning.
While those are the rules I believe how it functions is very fickle, an unjustified execution my lower morale, and lose the respect the crew may have for you. A proper battlefield execution if used right could do the exact and make an example of the indivual who you've used it on.
Do you understand you are not above Marine law, or allowed to enforce it yourself?
Of course.
What do you think is the job of a Commander?
I believe it's the job of the Commander to lead his men, and keep their morale high while not being too intrusive. The Commander must delegate tasks to those who's jobs it is to do what he requires, not do everything himself, he must give clear concise orders only personally intervening when necesary. Micromanaging your squads will almost always lead to a bad time, it makes them look bad, it makes you look bad, you may contradict one of their orders confusing the men, what are the SOs and department heads there for it not to lead who they are incharge of while it is my job to lead them.
If a member of your staff is disobeying orders, how would you handle it?
I always hate questions like these because they provide no context. What is their reputation, have they done it before, what other problems have the caused/what other crimes, how greviously have they disobeyed me, what are the consequences of disobeying me, by disobeying me have they infact done something helpful? Of course in all situations I will BE them take the aformentioned circumstances into mind then decide my course of actions be it a simple talking to, brigging, demotion, or if it's really bad possibly a battlefield execution.
Why should you be whitelisted?
In my own opinion I know most positions well enough to lead them and I am capable of RPing to a good degree.

Re: Robotic Potato's Commander App
This guy is a good man. So he got that going for him.
Your answers are good. And You are quite a competent a marine, I must give ou that credit. Alongside the fact you are active.
Now my issue with ou is that you must understand sometimes shit will hit the fan and you will need take a foothold. You seem to be reaaaally hesitant on BEing people, even though it might be needed to do it on certain ocassions.
I hope you understand that.
I will +1 regardless. Even though I didn’t saw you on command roles, you are competent enough to not mess up.

Re: Robotic Potato's Commander App
I'm not VERY hesitant to BE someone exactly, I just simply think it's a tool that shouldn't be used lightly as while it can be a useful tool to get the marine in line it could also turn them against you. No one wants to listen to the CO who BEs someone for something that just seem to be a flex of their power.

Great player. I've had some really good RP experiences with them.
Haven't seen you a lot as command, but from what I recall you were pretty good at it.
Luke Compton approved. +1

I've only had good experiences with Irene, especially as a predator on various hunt. I'm gonna drop my +1 here because I know Irene is fit for the role.
