Alright, so I found myself playing CL the other night and to entertain myself (since marines are allergic to RP and Admins have better things to do than respond to faxes...) I tried playing basketball on the Almayer. Now, After 5 or so minutes of shooting the ball, I noticed that the closer to the basket I was, the more often I made my shot. This implies that there is some sort of code to basketball rather than each shot being pure RNG. I need a Dev-Team member or preferably Apop himself to confirm this ASAP. Basketball games provide a massive morale boost to the marines and knowing the code behind the shot mechanics should be a human right.

(move this to acid goop if it is too much of a shitpost.)

Or its a RNG based on the distance you are from the hoop.

I've noticed this as well in other severs while playing paper basketball with the disposals bins, so it may infact be inherent in ss13 code.

Marines will optimize their dunks if they see the mechanics of basketball, you have to slam with your heart not with numbers.

I actually don't think this is true, I notice no difference in the amount of shots I sink. You can knock it off the rim from 2 tiles away, or 5 or 7. Also, I need you nerds to fight me on the court so I can prove I'm the reigning Almayer BBall Champ, simply being undefeated 5-0 in ballin' is not enough to sate my ego. I need more W's.
