~~ Admin Protocols and Guidelines ~~
-- Admin Overview --
Admins hold higher expectations and power than standard Moderators.
These individuals are not by default the most Senior members, rather the ones who work hard and do extra work for CM.
The basic idea of an Admin is exactly in its name, Administration of players, staff and the community. As an Admin, you're expected to take on more responsibility which you're COMPENSATED and given extra permissions and abilities to balance out your workload.
The basic expectation of work is as follows for Admin (priority left to right):
Reports/Investigations/Appeals > Community Work > Staff Assistance > In-game Moderation/Mentoring > In-game Round Monitoring/Moderation
The following are expectations for each category:
- Reports/Investigations/Appeals: Actively assist the Senior Admin in handling forum work, such as Reports, Investigations, Logs and Appeals.
- Community Work: Actively involved in the Forums, Slack and Discord. This may involve general presence and monitoring these at a Moderation level and answering questions.
- Staff Assistance: Assisting Seniors in coaching, teaching and answering questions. This also extends to in-game where Admins are expected to at times step in and make a decision for Mods should an issue come up.
- In-game Moderation/Mentoring: Assist the Moderators and Mentors with in-game Ahelps.
- In-game Monitoring: Actively monitoring rounds for balance and Moderation. Admins may balance out either side should they feel it'll benefit the round.
-- Admin Positions --
Trial Admins: Trial admins have much more limited abilities than full Admin and are restricted from more "fun" related permissions, However, are still able to overrule Moderators/Mentors on judgments/issues. As a Trial Admin, it is your primary goal to learn your permissions, verbs and help fellow staff. The trial phase lasts one month.
Admins: Full Admins are permitted much more flexibility, you may over-rule any judgment, punishment or case in-game that is being handled by a Mentor/Mod. As an Admin, you're also given the full benefit of "Fun and Exceptions" stated below.
Senior Admin: ALL the above, Monitor Admins and ensure logs/appeals/investigations are assigned to Admins if needed.
-- Events/Fun/Exceptions --
*Trial Admins are not permitted any of these features until the trial phase is completed.
Being an Admin is a lot of extra work and because of this, you're given much more leeway with your in-game time to help compensate the extra work that you put forward.
Admins are permitted at any time to make balancing changes to the current round if they believe it will benefit the players.
Examples:
- Add more Larva for Xenos
- Send in an ERT to assist Marines
- Make Command announcements to encourage Marines
- Use Queen Mother to assist the Xenos.
- Free Extra Job Slots for Marines
- Wall off areas to encourage different routes.
- Force Predator Rounds
Not Permitted:
- Avoid over-powered weapons (Thermo Nuclear Launcher)
- Mass changing VVs
Join & Respawn into rounds at any time (Reasonably and not to be abused)
Examples:
- Spawn a Xeno in and join into it.
- Respawn as new RANDOM Marine.
- Insert yourself in as a Survivor at round-start.
Not Permitted:
- Instantly Ahealing yourself and returning to combat
- Respawning as a Marine with the same name.
- Making yourself a Predator/Synth if you're not whitelisted.
- Inserting yourself in with Unique Gear or as an Ancient Xeno
-- Hosting Events --
DISCLAIMER: Events are a priveledge, should your ability to host them be poor or consistently problematic you may be told to stop running event at anytime.
MINOR Events may be hosted, these MINOR Events may NOT impact the over-all round in progress and CANNOT over-take any round. Meaning the normal round must progress in the background of your event and not over-take the interest of the server. You MUST OBSERVE your event at all times and you are NOT permitted to enter or participate in said event while it is running. It is your job to balance out the Marines/Xenos should you Event empower one side too much.
While most items are at your disposal, please keep events and props reasonable within the lore of the universe.
Examples:
- Group the Survivors up at round start and give them better gear & cool side-objectives.
- Insert an Alien race that also crash landed on the planet.
- Give Cargo some cool gear at round start to distribute.
- Give the Xenos a unique caste (Ravenger/Predalien late-game)
- Giving Research some unique things to do (Use care if it anything zombie related)
- Send a smuggler to trade unique/old weapons with the Almayer.
- Give a Survivor antag objectives to complete.
- Give the CL some antaggy or interesting objectives
Not Permitted:
- Delaying the round at all to set up your event.
- Changing the Game-mode
- Human Vs Human Only & Large Scale UPP/CLF Attacks.
- Changing VVs on objects, weapons, terrain. (Entire rounds have been broken due to this)
- Recruiting large amounts of players into the event/special roles. (If your event requires 10+ Players to fill roles it's no longer Minor)
Remember if other Admins are on, it's a good idea to make sure no other events going on that before starting one of your own. Only one event should be running per round. Should an event be going on, wait until it the current round has finished to host one of your own. Also, remember to be respectful to other admins and should one wish to host an event the round after you hosted one, they should be given the right-away to host theirs before yours.
You are in charge of keeping your events under control and negligence on your part can result in the temporary suspension of hosting events for you. Should something come up during the time of hosting an event, ask another Admin to watch over things while you're gone or ask for assistance in Slack, should no one be on.
-- Maintaining Admin --
Admins face MONTHLY review, which is based on the amount of work you're doing for CM. Very simply, if you want the fun stuff and all the extra exceptions we expect you to put in that extra work. Should you just be logging on, running events, only doing moderation you may face removal for not doing Community and Log related work.
To clarify, there is no "Moderation/In-Game Admins" only. Admin is a full package and you're expected to do work in all departments, however special attention is taken to the PRIORITY Expectations above.
Should your Senior Admin (or Manager) feel that you are not putting in the required work at the end of the month, you will be placed on probation which will forbid you from the "FUN & EXCEPTIONS" and potentially face demotion to Moderator should your work and activity not increase during that period.

Re: Admin Guidelines & Expectations
Nothing has been added or altered to Admins.
I simply wrote things out so its clear what Admins can and cannot do.
As well as clarified Admins responsibilities and what may lead to demotion from the Admin position.
