Machowicz was born 5/5/50 in a small mining base on the outskirts of the Heinlein Memorial shipyards to Grace(née McEnery) and Leroy Machowicz. The parents had moved from nearby Olympia along with twelve other families expecting to finance off helium-3 prospecting in a Wey-Yu underground mining facility named Antiquity.
On 6/12/57, freelancer pirates hosting the ship named Black Star landed at Antiquity and took over the small town stealing helium-3 stockpiles presumably to fuel the reactor of their vessel. When law enforcement came to suppress the situation the Black Star crew barricaded themselves within the excavation site and held a family hostage. On 6/14/57 the crew of the Black Star would set the excavation site on fire rendering the deposits in-accessible leading to its abandonment.
After Antiquity's razing the Machowicz family was left poor and moved back to Olympia. Murdoch developed a speech impediment where he stuttered J and G and required therapy to lessen it.
His father found work at Heinlein Shipyards as a construction worker building star-ships. On 8/1/64 Murdoch enrolled in Philip K. Dick High School and graduated 5/29/68. He would attend a tradeschool from 5/30/68 to 8/19/71.
Murdoch worked as a fabricator at a local shipyard. He involved with a 18-year old girl named Maddie Lyons for a year and were considered married through common law until their separation in 5/29/72. Lyons aborted their unborn child afterward.
On 6/2/72 he quit his job and later commissioned into the local police force in Olympia. He served as a standard police officer and earned promotions on 12/20/72 to Corporal, 5/5/73 to Sergeant, then 10/16/73 to Staff Sergeant. On 3/15/74 he was offered a job to work with Janel Drewis Interstellar, which he accepted. He left Olympia moving onto the JSS McKibben, an Arikara-class troop transport ship armed by a crew of 100 men. Here he began work on his first novel Outer Rim or Zone of few Nebulae inspired by his experiences in the private mercenary line of work.
On 11/13/76 Murdoch meets Lauren Barberi while working a Weyland-Yutani contract on the planet of Alpha Centauri 3. The two became romantically involved afterward and Murdoch stayed at AC3 until 11/25/76 when the two boarded the JSS McKibben once again.
On 2/8/77 Murdoch retired from JDI, and worked with a cops-for-hire uniform named Deupree Enforcement Intergalactic. He worked predominantly in the Sol system during his employment working out of a light ex-navy corvette named the Pier Chicago ran by a crew of 50 men. On 7/24/77 the couple marry, and 4/11/78 gave birth to his twin daughters Sarah and Alice Machowicz.
Murdoch began writing his second novel aboard the Pier Chicago titled Call to the West, also based off his experiences while serving the Pier Chicago. He would later publish his books on 1/25/77 and 9/18/79 respectively, gaining modest attention from his publications.
On 11/15/80 Murdoch left the Pier Chicago and moved to a rural area near the Valles Colony where his family currently resides. He raised his family there until 10/20/83 when he enlisted into the Colonial Marine Corps as a SSGT/WO. In his interview he explains his reasons for joining as follows:
"to contribute my skills to my country's defense in light of the troubling times brewing."
He was enlisted into 2nd battalion, 4th brigade of the Herculis arm, otherwise known as the Falling Falcons in the Military Police branch. He was deployed on the USS Almayer where he currently operates, with his family at Mars.
As of 6/9/83 he is currently working on his third novel titled The Smell of Blood.
