Description of the incident:
The CO had woken up late in the round, I had told them of an incident in medbay involving the delimbing of corpses (it caused a doctor and CMO to be arrested). He came down, walked into the CMO's cell and began to beat them with the Chain of Command. I stepped in and arrested them, brigged them for 20 minutes for assault and stood on guard duty. During this time, the CO was arguing the sentence, claiming that it wasn't assault since the whip 'does no damage' and that he was the Commander.

Later on in his sentence, around 8 minutes left, he says to me, 'Ready to get fucked?' then proceeds to order engineering on engineering comms to dismantle the brig, hack open doors, disassemble windows, etc.

At this point I had his headset removed and he served out another 3 minutes of his sentence before the XO, Benjamin Forrester, opened the cell prematurely. They were arrested for Jailbreak (40 minutes)

When released, the CO carried out his orders to have the brig dismantled. I faxed HC and had been ordered to brig him indefinitely and remove him from command. He then proceeds to escape on the alamo and die on the planet.

Being the mod that was dealing with him, I'd say that I had a lot of trouble with him in PMs
While PMs are private and I already provided log of my conversation to admin+ team, I can say that he was constantly lying about what he did, and when he was proven wrong from logs he made up next lie, and then another one, ad infinum, until we reached the point where he said that if Bill Carson can do that (which they never did), he can do that too

I will abstain from any further commentaries since I was handling this case in game

I was SO this round and can confirm the commander's behavior was highly unprofessional toward the CMP. Especially at a time where the CIC was severely understaffed and the marines in dire need of leadership. Just as well sending the XO groundside when it may have been more helpful to have extra eyes on overwatch.

Was ghosting at the time, but I saw almost all of this go down. Can confirm the CO was taking things too far and not acting accordingly. The CE most certainly didn't help what with trying to disable the brig under what was perceived to be lawful orders from the CO. Things did get slightly out of hand with the MPs, but considering the situation the escalation was justified.

What's more, the CO didn't announce they were going planetside, and instead nicked a bunch of squad marine gear to try and blend in on the battlefield. They fought near the FOB for a few minutes before getting served up for the Ancient Rav. All this while the XO was also being dealt with by the MPs, and a lone SO was running all of command staff. This kind of wanton unprofessional behavior torpedoed the efforts of the marines groundside in desperate need of leadership fighting a small hive they could have potentially routed had things not gone pear-shaped.

Hey guys. Lot's of points to answer so I'll get right to it.

I'll just start out by saying NethIafins is breaking rule 5 of the forum rules by accusing me I lied when I simply didn't. As soon as he made that claim when we were private messaging one another I immediately told him and this had to be my second statement that I have no reason to lie because they are literally logs of everything and each and every single time he asked me a question I responded back truthfully. If you guys can make these logs unprivate or something please do so.

Anyway in regards to whipping the CMO I'm at fault completely. I didn't realize it actually does brute damage the second time and I was under the assumption it just disciplines people. So after coming to my senses that arrest was completely warranted I'm not even going to argue that. Completely unacceptable. Didn't help though the fact that I was left buckled and handcuffed on the bed after the time was already set and only after I mentioned this was the mistake corrected.

In regards to the brig? I thought I could go through a loophole which wasn't covered in marine law and approve modifications to the brig which I believe is allowed by either the CE or CO. Initially I wanted all the cells to be dismantled but I later told the engineer to leave half of them since I'm sure I would be in trouble of some sort if I did go through with completely stopping the MP's from basically doing their job. Picture shows it as well. I thought what I was doing was a harmless way to mess with the MP's instead of being an utter spaz and doing something like battlefield executing the CMP after immediately being released which I've seen happen one too many times.

I still did my job while I wasn't arrested and made announcements until I was being bombarded with messages about what to do with the CMO so of course as the commander I leave it to my XO to deal with what's happening groundside until that situation is resolved. Quite debatable anyway since I late joined and I can't really be blamed for a storm that's still running it's course. I think it's a bit too much if you are going to blame one person for the outcome of the end game where the xenos mostly win especially on a map like ice colony.

Either way if my whitelist gets removed I'm completely fine with that. I make enough money to wonder why I'm still playing a literal pixel game so I don't care all that much. What I do care about is that you use this as an example and make some changes in marine law or whatever you do so this doesn't happen again or this entire shenanigan has just wasted everyone's time. I would actually hate myself if someone else landed in this situation like me and all someone would have to do is make a short edit in the marine law page.
