I have a VPN called CyberGhost and use it when I do anything online except for certain things, like SS13, as I'm on a college campus. It runs in the background most of the time and on startup, automatically replacing my IP without warning. To keep this from happening I have to remember to open it up and make sure i'm not connected to its service and then shut it down, but alas sometimes I forget. There have been times I was connected but not sticky banned so it wasn't always my number one priority. I don't have a secondary BYOND account nor tried evading anything. I'll try to keep this from happening again.

Wanted to get the attention of a marine to get him to stop firing but he handled it in a bad way by proceeding to stab him 4 times to get his attention. Was told to handle it better if this ever happened again by xxxx on Sat, July 30th of 2016

Banned by slc97|Duration: 4320 minutes|Reason: Griefed the CE. Was stuck in the hangar because of an SO. Was yelling to get out and then promptly burned the CE to death with a flamer. It happened yesterday, so very recent.

I should also say that the last note I have shouldn't be there. I was the CE mentioned and reported the guy for grief but slc mixed up our ckeys and banned me instead. He quickly fixed that once he realized but I guess the note stayed.

I'll talk to Slc about that. Did the ban come in when you tried to log in with the VPN, so right away, or like a day after?

Well, the day before I played with my VPN on (unknowingly) and turned it off mid game and reconnected just fine. Yesterday it turned itself on again and once I connected I was banned.

Aw yeah, I remember that case, yeah I just double checked the logs and you were the CE, so we can clear that right up and scrub the note as soon as we handle the sticky.

I did take a break for some time but it was most likely after June. I have only started using a VPN since around September though.

Well from what I can tell, it mostly just seems like a mistake you didn't mean to happen, so I can support this getting lifted, though know it may take some time on Apop's side as these things can take a while to fix.
