Your appeal, including evidence (screenshots, etc): I found an image on /r/ss13 where someone had posted this long elaborate and really inappropriate /me while they were playing as a marine, for some reason I figured I should do the very same thing and I did and not only once but twice and then I was permanently banned. This was a very terrible thing to do and it will not happen again.

It's terrible, I know....I just thought my fellow marines would get a quick laugh out of it, I waited to do it at the beginning of a round when everyone was gathered...but in retrospect it was not a good decision at all and was very inappropriate.

I have 2400+ rounds played on hippie, sure I've had a couple of minor bans here and there, for example a longer OOC permaban from /tg/ which was recently appealed, I don't really recall any sort of permaban from any other server though.

don't ask for a reply, not only permabans take time it's not on the highest priority of things.

All Permabans are going to be moving slow for a bit. Apop is really busy and he's the only one who can appeal/look into these. You're just going to have to wait it out. If you really wanted to play without having to wait, you shouldn't have gotten yourself banned in the first place.

I think 5 months is enough to make the point that what this person did is not acceptable and will be met with a harsh response if someone else were to do the same.

Considering this was the only record of misbehavior on the account, I would be alright with this ban being lifted with the understanding that if this behavior were repeated or even hinted at that the ban would be replaced and we wouldn't be willing to review it again.

As far as this goes, actually deciding to do something to this in of itself is the kind of behavior that earns a permaban as well as the action itself. While I don't think you'd do something like this again necessarily, it seems to me like the sort of attitude that can lead to not regarding the server rules in making decisions. I wouldn't be opposed to accepting the appeal and a probation period, as it seemed to be your only real offense. I wouldn't be really trusting of you not to break the server rules during that period as well though, so I suggest if you want to be allowed to play on this server again and continue to do so that you seriously go over them.

It was a while back and it's your only offence so I'd be fine with this being lifted. Just think twice before you do anything that might even toe the line in the future.

I'm a firm NO on this one. Its been barely four months since this was placed and I believe it is too soon. If these copy pastas only receive a few months off I believe it will only encourage more people to make them. I wouldn't mind reviewing it again after you've been banned for eight months or so but its just too early for me.

You seem to understand that you fucked up pretty badly, which is a good thing. We're at five months? I think I'd probably push for more of a 6-month ban, but I could cut it at five months. Obviously, you'd be undergoing probation and if you post anything remotely walking the ERP line, you're gonna get the perma reinstated.

But know that you'll be on probably 2 months of probation, and will have a zero-tolerance policy for anything ERP or 18+.
