Update Discussion: Marines can no hear common channel; this has massive repercussions.
First off, without common channel, leaders will have an amazingly hard time getting out simple orders or commands that need to be heard by everyone. They cant just use the command announcement to say everything they want to a normal marine. That is inefficient with space and time. Marines can no longer ask crew questions pertaining to mission operations, and they cannot give important information quickly to everyone. If they all have to go through squad channels, then it takes much longer for information to be processed up the chain of command. Along with that, they cannot hear the common channel. So any orders or information said their is useless, and to tell all squads, you have to go through each squad channel and repeat your message. Some examples being where enemies are, information about the biology of aliens pertaining to combat, who is lost and who isn't. Calling for help is also hard, because only crew can hear you. This update is bad, and it isn't a buff, its a massive Nerf to Marines. If you keep empowering the xenos, then the xenos will build better idiots to counteract your buffs and nerfs. This update is a horrible idea, and it should be reverted. Fun game play should not be a sacrificial lamb to your ideas of 70 30 xeno marine win rates. I saw a fucking queen charge, screech, kill all the PMC and then neurotoxin the smart gunner, stun lock and kill him too. That is extremely fun for them. I saw it all happen. All dead within 30 seconds. An entire PMC squad gone. Please revert this update to its prior state. Nerf something else, but not comms.

This is wrong for several reason.
1. Shipside general comms and ground side general comms don't mix, so you couldn't order mass groups from the Almeyer regardless. It's rare a CO or XO goes down to the ground anyway so comms aren't used this way either and even when they are they're often ignored or lost in the sauce.
2. What this is going to prevent is briefings going out over comms...which...meh...

What'd be nice is a designated radio operator in each squad that can use common.

Future reference, do not open a discussion on updates with "REVERT!!!", "YOU GUYS ALWAYS NERF MARINES" and "YOUR OPINIONS ARE DUMB".
