I've heard arguments on both sides of this;
Xenomorphs are supposed to ignore synths unless they're outright antagonistic.
Xenomorphs can go out of their way to ensure synths cannot be revived because they know about synths and they know the danger they cause.
I'm unsure what to believe. People say ahelp xenos who meta like this, but I've listened to moderators who say it's impossible to prove any kind of xeno meta against synths, so it's just never enforced.
Then again, even though this is theoretically the first time xenos have seen a synth ICly, they know that I can understand them, they know that I can be revived at any time, they know I can't use guns.
Several times, I've been dragged across the map as a synth corpse just to be brought to the queen so she could gib me; every time she has done this, it has only been for me, even if other corpses are producing light (which is usually the excuse used for hiding/gibbing corpses.)
For xenos, the excuse is usually "hivemind lets us know." However, I have had a few situations where I've been attacked as soon as I left the FOB, even though xenos shouldn't really have known anything about me - as I haven't been seen by them assisting humans or building barricades. They also say "it's among marines, it's thus on the marine side, like an APC or turret," as well as just "oh well someone saw you repair a barricade or help one marine who was injured." And they use that to know.
I'd like to hear opinions from both sides on this, as usually deadchat is split on it, as they always are.

Re: Synthetic and Xeno Relations
Personally, I don't believe Xenos should go out of their way to kill Synths if the Synthetic hasn't outright attacked them. They're not human, xenos can make that distinction, they just choose not to because they're looking for the kill.
Often, they're not even looking to see if someone's a synth or not. They see an unarmed, unarmored human-looking mob that's about to be their Play of the Game.

Re: Synthetic and Xeno Relations
Once, I got to be a janitor borg. Not a synth. A borg. A borg with NO weapons whatsoever. All I did was clean, and clean I did.
However, despite clearly not being a threat in the slightest, the majority of xenos I came across would go out of their way to murder the shit out of me. I wasn't helping marines, I was just mopping up the puddles of blood that was left everywhere and picking up trash. And yet, they try to kill me anyways.
Most xenos just want to kill shit, doesn't matter who or what they are. If they can kill it, they will. Rude, if I do say so myself (then again, marines are not much different when you think about it).

Sometimes, bravery comes from the most unlikely sources.

Re: Synthetic and Xeno Relations
Are you for fucking real? The only synths they show any semblance of restraint toward are ones they know are spawned by admin events because fear they might get bwoiked or hammered. Every other synth is a high priority target because of their skills and capabilities, and that's taking into account that there are RP opportunities with synths because they can speak the xeno language.Chowder McArthor wrote: ↑18 Feb 2018, 21:24I'm unsure what to believe. But this is never going to change because Xenos are just Hippie greytiders who approach gameplay as if it were e-sports.

Re: Synthetic and Xeno Relations
Nothing much to do here, unless they wrote a rule that literally says "Do not attack synths at first contact make sure they're hostile" to give all mods the same criteria we cannot interfere, to be honest, "Xenos can't meta" is the iron curtain we use to explain hivermind outside of the game. But we all know ALL xeno players metagame.
