there's got to be more to this story than is being shown, that looked like super bad behavior from my perspective at first, shit like this gives us a bad rep, then you pretty much just shot at a pred who was just standing there looking at you, which is pretty much the main reason why pred RP is getting fewer and fewer with each passing day.

Yeah I only thought of RP just now. What my logic at the moment for RP was "My squad just got attacked by lizard aliens, then I see this alien looking guy, of course im going to shoot him because im not taking any chances". Isn't that legit RP? if you were just atacked by lizard aliens IRL what would you do when you see another alien? Me i will shoot that boi, I wont talk to it. Thats how my choice to shoot him was made. is that wrong

I would talk to that pred if it was first contact with an alien. Because that is what I would do IRL. "Oh damn, a humanoid looking alien, ill try to talk to it maybe its friendly", but when my squad ust got attack, a marine will assume a non human being is hostile. I think that is realistic.

Really tbh, it's shit like this that makes it hard to RP as a pred in any meaningful manner, leading to the circlejerk of preds not RPing which inevitably leads people to just shoot them on sight whilst screaming about "hostile humanoids" who's only action was to literally look at you, which in turn leads to the breakdown of any attempts to RP leading to the whole cycle.

Then I think this is the flaw in Pred RP: Humans and predator interacting is not realistic, it's hard to RP fake tendencies.

I just find it hilarious he grabbed you from the medic and ran away to kill you. But typically, you don't shoot unconfirmed hostiles. He wasn't holding a weapon at the time, so you essentially shot at an unarmed person that MAY have been hostile. This is why the CLF exists or something.
