Gimmick PFC loadouts?
I was wondering if anyone had any really gimmicky PFC loadouts. Don't necessarily have to be super good, just throw out some whacky/fun gimmicks.
I want to try something new other than the usual shotgun/m41 loadout I always use.

Re: Gimmick PFC loadouts?
To be honest, it is kinda hard to think up gimmick loadouts, what with how the skill system works nowadays preventing a lot of old tactics.
Before the medical nerfs, I had a few rounds where I was a Combat Nurse, which is a PFC that behaved more like a ghetto medic, armed with lots of gauze, cream and tricord, even going so far as to get a medic backpack and belt to complete the look. However, now that PFCs have limited medical know-how, Combat Nurses are no longer possible.
One silly PFC loadout that is possible is the "ghetto bolt action" style PFC. Which is pretty much a shotgun with a red dot, bayonet and stock that only fires slugs. I call it the Ghetto bolt action because it is the closest marines are ever going to get to a bolt action rifle (WITH bayonet, of course). You might not get a lot of kills with it, but the stock and bayonet will allow you to do some serious melee damage if anything gets close.
Then there is the "Light Infantry" PFC, which is a PFC that goes against social norms and instead of having a Pulse Rifle as their primary, they use an SMG instead. While not as strong as regular infantry, the benefits of being a light infantrymen (speed, one-handed, higher ammo and firerate, etc) make it worth attempting at least once. After all, as the item description itself indicates, engineers and medics aren't the only ones who use SMGs.
There is also the Machiengun team, but that would require having a machinegun in your squad, and not all engineers are willing to get it. And even if they do get it, you'd have to convince your NCO to allow you to form a small 2 man team, which would of course consist of a gunner and a spotter.
The same could also be said about Mortars. It is quite possible to form a Mortar Team, but you'd have to have an NCO that cares enough for that sort of thing, and even then that is if you even GET a mortar. Still would be kinda need to see 2-3 marines workin together to operate a mortar, instead of all the loners I seen lately who just hog it to themselves.
Really, there are quite a few gimmicks out there, but the lot of them are really quite small and humble.

Get a construction pouch from your engineer, a spare entrenching tool and sandbags. Focus on moving barricades up on the front lines. Wood can also work.
Get a mortar on your team and ask your SL for their binoculars. Dedicated spotter.
No armour, bandanna, rifle on the back and throwing knife rig. Everyone has to try it at least once. You need to get webbing from the RO, pick up some extended magazines and something for DPS like the QFA.

Re: Gimmick PFC loadouts?
I occasionally go with the throwing knife belt + machete combo and maybe a revolver. It's hard to use, though throwing knifes are good if you can use them. Managed to get 3 kills in a round with 'em.

Ge a true skeet shooter. Get a shotgun with the wood stock and an extended barrel. Only fire slugs, and hope that the damage is good or that the knock back updates made this viable.

Re: Gimmick PFC loadouts?
obtain knife rig
fill knife rig
obtain backpack
fill backpack to the brim with knives
make sure to slap one in your boot
plus fill up your armor storage
not done yet
fill up those pockets
then swing on by req, grab a machete, you only need one hand to throw the knives
head planetside and ask your master to forgive you just this once for going all out
at the first sight of a Xeno spend five minutes throwing every knife you have at it's general area
at that point unsheathe your blade of cargonia and banzai charge
you'll either inspire the Marines to charge and win the day or die a fools death
worth it either way

A simple fun one for area denial is QF and BFA on a pulse rifle and only use burst fire for no delays.

Sometimes I'll just fill my satchel with loaded revolvers and nothing else. Play the round normally until one of my hands is slashed off and then go full Revolver Ocelot as I mercilessly hunt down the asshole who took my hand.

If you really want another extra gun forego ammo and bring a m39 in a M39 holster.

No attach M4A, a satchel acting as a second ammo belt and two first aid pouches. Attachments and flares are for dummies

It's not entirely a gimmick, but taking a roller-bed from medbay and dedicating yourself to medevacing wounded back to LZ1/LZ2 is an underappreciated tactic that benefits getting people back on the field, or alive quickly.

Re: Gimmick PFC loadouts?
Two M4A3 pistols on each hand, another M4A3 pistol at the armor slot, another pistol at my holster filled with M4A3 ammo. And a Satchel filled with M4A3 pistols. Plus two general pouches for holding other items or pistol mags, plus the armor should be filled with flares/pistol ammo. ALWAYS keep one pistol incase if your hand gets delimbed or if you ran out of other pistols, and THAT pistol should only have attachments.
There, total M4A3 pistol madness. If you need to reload, throw one pistol at the enemy, use another pistol from your other slots to another and keep firing until target's dead.

Re: Gimmick PFC loadouts?
I like World War 1 Soldier for PFC.
The Ghetto Bolt action, as stated before, a USCM cap, a construction pouch from req, with a shovel and sandbags from your local engineer, and a gas mask if you can score one.
I find the shotty is good for scaring off xenos while you fill bags, and pre-filling bags before a push really does help against spitters and such, and provide a defensive falling back point - just try not to make chokepoints with them, I've seen a lot of marines die that way.
Also works well if you're assisting with mortar duty.
