Heroic Doctor

I was a doctor on the round and was doing a great job, even when briefing was under siege I keep making surgery in any wounded that was available, until the xenos breach the barricades and begin overrunning us.
There as a stasisbag with a fucked up doctor close to the breach, so I risked my life to take the bag under cover of my comrade that too was a doctor, after that we climb the ladders to the escape pods and entered in one, we needed to do surgery on the doctor in the stasisbag, so with a blowtorch I was dealing with the door while the other was making the preparation for the surgery, and that was my biggest mistake.
A runner that followed us opened the door and jump at me clawing and hitting my head, my comrade unholstered his m39 and begin to open fire, but the creature used me as a shield making many of the bullets hitting me, so he changed place with me and shoot the evil creature point blank, but that was what the creature wanted and after make my friend fall to the ground, grabbed him and dragged him to the dark hall.
When I heard his screams and cutting sounds, I under severe pain chose to abandon him and save the third doctor that was dieing on the stasisbag, so I closed the door and launched.
After I have treated my wounds and make me stable to work, I opened the stasisbag and put my friend to sleep, he was confused but still alive and didn't understood how he was still alive, I told him that after the surgery had been completed everything would make sense, so he drop to his sleep.
His wounds were most in the head and chest, probably some organs had been damaged too and appeared that on his skull was broken, so I treated the wounds focus on fixing the head while the drugs would take care of the rest, it worked and he was good.
I thinker of asking him to treat me, but it would take too much time and was better to be treated after our rescue by someone who had not his skull broken by Monsters, só we both got to hypersleep.

I was the vile runner that tried to kill you both, i didn't even know there was a third doctor in the pod.

As much as it makes the story sound more heroic, i don't think him shuffling in front of you was intentional, it was probably because i pushed you into him while you guys were fighting which ended up with you two dancing around and making him FF you. I was sad to see that you had bolted the door, i really wanted to finish you off. There were also two marines in the pod next to you that managed to escape.
