What about their leadership style do you enjoy the most?

Any particularly funny or memorable moments?

First CM round, forgot who it was, but we went on the wrong DS, so while we waited for DS1 on the Aylmer, we all started taking tactical naps. But otherwise Chen is really good and so are a couple others I can't remember the names of.

Broden Ackers because he doesn't roll for Squad Leader but he always gets it eventually whether it be by having everyone above him dead or calling everyone above him shit enough times that the other Delta's agree and make him their new Squad Leader. All he does is trick Delta into thinking the plan he wants to do is their idea.

A while back there was a game in which a Squad Leader, I believe it was Ed Trevor, created the Delta Special Detachment AKA DYKE SQUAD. This squad consisted of all of Delta's most stereotypical space lesbians, and their favourite victims. It was a memey good time. Funny thing about Dyke Squad though, highly competent team.

And also the one that isn't the first in the fight to be dragged off to host a creepy alien because of overextending.

In Delta the only SL that I like is Erika Voodoo, kinda, but still lacks in tactics and shit.

Kesserline or Whitey. It's hard to choose - I see a lot more of Kesserline, but Whitey is consistently excellent every time I either SO for him or wind up groundside in his squad.

My least favourite is not so hard to pick, but it would be rude to put a name to them. Twice I had them as SL - the first time they called us all autistic five minutes after the drop and didn't communicate at all past that, and the second they got themselves murdered and dragged off about ten minutes after getting off Normandy. That guy is half the reason I miss the general channel and it allowing me to more or less attach myself to a different squad instead.

Who needs a SL when you have a alpha Spec?

Seriously though, my favorite SL is Caryl simply because he epitomizes for me good leadership, communication, social-ness, and tactics/forethought .

Oh god Merk is gonna so butthurt he doesn't at least one firm desognation as best SL as he constantly boast over TS about what he does as a SL.

HAHAHA. Gotta prepare mhmy shoulder to behold his tears tonight!

Jokes aside I'd obviously say Kesserline but as it's probably a biased opinion I'd say... Uh... Actually I have no idea but any old deltards fit. BESIDE CHEN. *Does Middle Finger* pewpew.

Funnily enough i do enjoy the poor SLs that die early on, it adds to the round. But really, anyone who actually talks is fine.

As I'm SLing quite often.

The only rounds when I PFC or get a SL above myself.. I have to say that I see noone better than Whitey. The guy is robust, caring about the lads, good for tactics and shits.

On a personal note, most of the time, I just try to be a good squaddie. And.. there are some times where the SL is so unable to exploit the true potential of his men that I just don't listen to him anymore and just do my shit with some PFCs I can grab around.

Egoistically, on a secondary note, I will say that I'm my own favorite SL, because I lead, the way I wanna play. With treatorus tactics, ambushes, tactical withdrawals followed by pushes, flanks followed by tactical withdrawals followed by counterpushes. Damn, you can do so much thing when you just have the men following you.

I only saw that in Whitey (in my personal experience of other SLs).

____________

Talk to your men, analyze situations, know what is the best decision to make (or at least not the worst decision to take), grow a pair, you're SL, not a PFC. And lead your men. That'll make me follow you for enough time that I'll die on the frontline, or you, or us both, or win. Dipshit SL will make me abandon them and get victory on my own terms or at least not wasting my time.

Kesserline is a really good SL. He keeps Delta together and knows when to charge to break the Xeno's lines without overextending and dying. Whitey is also good but I haven't seen him recently. Simon'Atom'Sanford (or whatever his last name is) is a really good Alpha SL who coordinates his men well and doesn't die instantly. He keeps in constant communication with his squad and command.

There is probably some others that I am forgetting, but in general if you communicate regularly, avoid dying in the first ten minutes of combat, and can get your squad to follow your orders you are good in my book.
