Of course, when I take Command positions, the Unga stops, and I take charge. I try to RP as much as possible, and bring as much efficiency as possible to the departments.

Do you understand how the Battlefield Execution functions?

Yes, it serves as a function to terminate malicious or dangerous components of the platoon. It should be used only in the most dire circumstances, such as a Doctor attacking patients while we are under fire, a Marine turning on comrades in the heat of battle, or traitorous activity that brings death and destruction. It will scar the CO personally, as he has to take the life of a man/woman lost in the fury of battle.

Do you understand you are not above Marine law, or allowed to enforce it yourself?

Yes, that is the sole duty of the CMP and his/her lackeys. My character sees justice as cold and fair, and is willing to brig himself for his actions.

What do you think is the job of a Commander?

I like to think of the whole platoon as a human body. The marines are the arms, and legs, MPs the immune system, XO/SOs nervous system. The Commander is the brain of the operation. Now, is he more important than a single marine, or a doctor? No. He is the brain of the operation, and while extremely important, is unable to function without the rest of the platoon. This definitely will affect the way I act as a CO, as a happy body, is a productive body.

The Commander's duty is to produce battle plans and relay it among the people, using the SO/XOs as tools to do so, and ensure the commands are done as safely and efficiently as possible. The Commander is not supposed to be moving from department to department, screaming if something does not go the way he/she wants, instead he/she must ensure the end goal is met, no matter the cost.

OOC-wise, the CO is the central nerve of the operation. He/she can dictate what RP the platoon follows, be it gritty, or cheerfully.

If a member of your staff is disobeying orders, how would you handle it?

Everything goes through due-process, through Marine-Law. Justice is blind, yet honest, and is there to keep abnormal people from disrupting the activities. Punishment can vary, depending on the disruption, but can be lowered or nullified if a more efficient way is achieved.

Why should you be whitelisted?

While I have had a history of shenanigans, or WGW, everytime I have taken a Command position, has been with thoughtful consideration. I have been roleplaying on various sites, different genres for about 10 years now, and have much evolved as a writer. When I take a command position, the dabbing stops, and the seriousness comes on, as I try to help as much as possible, and keep things running as smoothly as possible. I am not sure how I am spoken of here, but I have had people talk of me as a CMO before, and how I keep an steady hand on it.

I have played as a CMO for quite a while(Most of my time on CM), and have done quite the efficient job, knocking out more surgeries than any Med Bay I've seen in my time on CM, even going to far to instruct bald Doctors in triage. Again, I am going to go back to my views of leadership. As I have stated before, the platoon is like a human body. Any misaction, or inaction can result in death, or worse. Allow me to explain how a round would go for me, if I were to be white listed.

In the beginning, as the platoon wakes, everything must be started. The specialized crew, (Non-PFC/SL occupations), should be inspected prior to briefing. This would be done by their respective departments, MTs would go check up on the Squad Engineers to make sure they know how to build basic materials, Doctors would check up on medics, etc. The inspectors in turn would be inspected by their respective heads. This ensures lower death rates through heightened efficiency by preventing complete baldness from ODing a patient, or constructing terrible FOBs. Just 15 extra minutes, can possible save more lives, plus let more people run through the Req line.

After briefing (Text is prepared before hand), the squads depart. The XO (If there is one), will be sent to rotate among the departments, to ensure no one is twiddling their thumbs, and always doing something to benefit the marines or the ship. Such examples include, Medical crates being sent down, prepared by medical staff as to save up on Req points, MTs constantly babysitting the power/sweeping for busted lights/refilling dropships, POs constantly lifting and acomplishing assigned missions.

What happens next, is impossible to tell the outcome of the match. Will the Marines do their tasks? Will the Doctors produce enough healthy marines to reenter combat? The only answer to what happens next, is to keep everything in line, and the Marines focused on their tasks. Even above this, is to make sure the majority of people have a GOOD TIME. Not me, but the majority. Everyone likes gimmicks, but what everyone adores, is a CO who loves his platoon more than himself, and shows the pain that his men feel.

A good CO doesn't aspire to be like this.

I've been command roles fairly often, it's a shame you haven't seen it. As for the threads, it wasn't meant for drama, the other users turned it into a shitfest. However, I understand your perspective. I hope you'll be happy with my XO abilities when you see me.

Don't recall you playing a command role ever, you also seem to have constant lowrp behaviour with the dabs and shit. CO is meant to be a HRP role and I wouldn't trust a CO with 'Dabbin' as a nickname.

Im going to have to disagree here, I am extremely active due to my absurd work hours and am often on during peak and non peak hours, almost always I am playing command. And I cannot whatsoever remember you being in the CIC.

As much as I want somebody that shows potential have whitelisted, I don't think you're ready for it yet.

I've seen you join as a XO for the first time and you've shown how inexperienced you are with command.
You've been ahelping about quite a few features, even the simplest ones, for example you didn't know why the ERT button didn't work or how to initiate evac/SD. You've also ran around with the CO's smartgun, not noticing that it didn't work for you (XOs don't have the skill to use it). By no means do I condemn learning or asking questions, I even encourage it, but I don't think somebody that has no clue of command should be whitelisted as CO, to me you seemed like you played XO for your first time. And that nickname needs to go if you want to have a serious chance, it's ridiclous.

Right.

First off. I've never seen you in the bridge at all, this suggests that you may have some inexperience in the command section of the ship. If you were interested in the Commander whitelist I would advise playing SO/XO a fair bit. Especially XO as this would show your ability to cope in the seat of power.

Secondly. Your reported Lowrp behaviour, Commanders should be able to RP better than most. Even if you wanted to have two characters one to "serious" on and one to "dab" ok. The bad things tend to stick in the mind more than good things. I'd avoid low RP -entirely- if you want people to take you seriously and give you the support for the Whitelist.

Thirdly. The permaban, whilst having been lifted is a big black mark. Why should we trust someone with a whitelisted position of power with extended responsibilities/powers if you absolutely disregarded one of the most Zero Tolerance rules on the server.

Fourthly. Reddit, whilst I haven't gone through reddit searching for all posts of yours I do remember some questionable threads etc on the site.

Overall, if you prove you are able to cope with the command role and cease the low RP behavior I am willing to give you a chance despite the ban. But seriously you need to prove that you deserve the chance and forgiveness of the staff.

I want to say I really dislike the writing style of this app, it sounds so pretentious. When this guy was talking about playing command roles often, he probably meant CMO. I wouldn't consider CMO a command role because the CMO is a civilian.

The way you speak about how a round would run with you as commanding officer really bothers me. The amount of micro managing you talk about sets me off. I mean do you plan on giving all the engineers and medics training seminars before they deploy? You have about 20 minutes to do that and briefing. You have to keep in mind this is not to friendly to rp, the marines have Already been trained, trying to weed out the baldies will really disrupt the flow of a round.

I gotta give a -1 here. The application puts me off, the way it is written, and the way you plan on rping a command also worries me. Colonial marines is a medium RP server, you have to realize that marines might just wann go kill some aliens. Commander is held to a high degree of RP but it's most important job is letting the marines have fun, this might mean being a super coordinate CIC and getting the marines all the information or coordination you can, or shaping the round into something that ends in a good story.

I've been present for a few of your low RP times and haven't noticed you for anything other then those low RP times.

Play more command, prove you can both lead and RP at the CO standard then I'm up for reconsidering.

The dabbing will likely have to go as well.

I don't think I'd be able to handle somebody who has a meme as their nickname being my commander. If that's the basis of his roleplay, then it won't get any better because he gets a fancy title along with it.
