I was ghost the whole round though I didn't watch the whole round. Here are few thoughts.

First of all, free for all attachments is a fresh idea.
Moved all weapon racks to RO, I suppose it's to delay marines so the hive can mature before facing BC UNGA DUNGA.
Though it might worked too well, marines dropped as late as 12:50. Hive in Viro plus late drop made Xeno breached into Tcoms soon after marines dropped. Resulting in most fighting was the fight to contain Xeno in Tcoms (not particularly fun for both sides).
On xeno side, by 13:00, there were 12 xenos, including 2 Queen and 4 T3s. Plus extra 12 T1s spawned by admin (over half not occupied), they are Elite now (so dead xeno don't re join as Young T1).

Free for all attachments is good.
Vendor moved to RO is bad, delay drop too much. Though I saw DChat mentioning RO not handing out guns, might be the worsening factor.
Extra queen and Mature/Elite T1s are good buffers and challenges, avoid xeno being steamrolled once the hive starts dying by the extra BCs. Except when it makes the fight too one-sided.

It was a very promising event.

The big thing minus on that event was the big delay on the drop time.

Consider that first 2 squads (of baldies) dropped at 1300.
Delta and Charlie dropped 10 to 15 minutes later.

When Delta and Charlie arrived, it was already lost. Tcomms were melted and held-FUBARily by the Hive. S-E (main LZ1 entrance) was poorly defended, nor guarded.

It could be a very interesting event, but it was merely impossible for marines to have only a single chance to win groundside.

This event could be redone but :

- Deploy time shouldn't exceed 1245
- Command would need at least 1 SO with XO/CO
- Req should be briefed, or MP should be briefed to not slow down even more the distribution of weapons.

based on the time you posted this I'm assuming it was a sub 100 pop round

so if it took marines til 12:50 to get there on lowpop... how long would it take on high pop? lol

I was the RO here, and I was handing out guns, though not in the way ungas wanted too (was doing it the traditional way with the Req line). They broke my south door glass and took shit for themselves. I eventually resorted to having MPs there for me. I basically had a system where 3 marines would come in at a time and get their shit from the south door, then get out with the north door. It turned out well.

I was the CMP that round and ended up cryoing and handing off the job to a more experienced MP player. Too much stress.

the CE was the ACO for the first half and ordered REQ to open, the RO didnt want marines in his Dept and it was utter chaos.
A CO defrosted and blew a Smartgunner's head off and we nearly brigged the CO for an unlawful execution before it was ''cleared up''

Honestly it was not fun for me or much fun I imagine for a lot of the other players. Fun Idea but the Admin/Mod(?) running the event maybe should have briefed the MPs an the REQ department a bit more.
Everyone shits on MPs and yells ''FUCK DA POLICE'' , etc until someone cuts in the req line or steals someones attachement then its ''MP DIS GUY STOLE MY UNGA / CUT IN LINE/BLAH BLAH BLAH.

Actually, CE got wrong info from marines and he thought I wanted to open Req, and didn't even ask for my confirmation. So he hacked the Req door and let marines in. I wanted to have some peace and quiet and tried to kick everyone out for a bit till I calmed down. Fun idea, but definitely agree that Req and MPs should've had some mini briefing about what to do. We could've dropped marines down 15 minutes earlier if we hatched up the idea sooner.
