So, I got banned for 180 minutes, I don't want to appeal it of course but just to clarify, Is banning people AFTER the round completed for shooting someone that shot him first a reason to get that 'one click' ban ? If anyone asks I can provide pictures, the admin didn't even ask or anything he just instantly nuked me.

Read about EORG on the rule section. If someone is attacking on the end of the round, don't fight back, or you'll be caught as a EORGer too.

We have logs. If you shoot someone on marine(ff or grief) we see who shot whom, where and with what.

Ffs are quite distinct - they happen in bursts and with proper weapons, also they happen inside the colony.

When grief is happening - we jump to the guy and question him about why's what's and other stuff

That being said, there are no hostiles if marines win (only time EORG usually happens) so Friendly fire is out of the question, it is grief. Add to that server restart that is going to happen in few minutes (that noone wants to see delayed) and you will see how we will without question instantly ban someone for pretty small time actually

You did good, asking first is always better than straight acting. EORG is punished with a 3 hour ban with no explanations or warning. An exception applies:

1) Shooting someone of the opposite faction (Xeno, UPP, CLF etc)

In this particular case, is you get shot and you shoot back, you get banned too.

I'm sorry, I'm going to look up EORG right now, I admit I'm kind of salty because this is my first time getting banned in ss:13 and all the interactions I had with admins in colonial marines before were cordial, I just didn't expect getting instantly nuked. EORG is lowest kind of bans we issue. Unless it is repeated more than twice, it is mostly ignored when dealing with rulebreaks
