SLs should be automatically given a medal for sticking their hand in the fire because it hurts.

And SL got hugely buffed by the comms nerf, my SL life is waaaay easier than before.

+1 - I rarely have a problem leading Delta. I do if I make myself look foolish somehow and then they decide to all do their own thing. It takes a lot of skill to lead them, and it helps if they've seen you be a good SL for them before.

Delta SL is actually pretty fun. They tend to listen if you give them non-shit orders, and sate the bloodlust.

Though if you get FOB duty, its over.

Delta has a rock solid core of engies and medics, and Spec and SG is just a crapshoot cause they're the most rolled (occasionally robust AF, occasionally a wasted slot on some baldy), but Delta has the absolute most robust PFCs, and despite the Deltard reputation every real Deltard gets what it takes to win: good combat spacing, speed, trigger discipline, charging when it's necessary, when to use AP, what attachements to take, and most importantly personal bravery. When you SL for Delta, you can always make something happen in the battlespace even if you just have 2-3 Delta PFCs with you.

I do feel bad for the guy that wants to try out SL and rolls Delta, but it's a consistent squad. They'll get the job done and sometimes their definition of "job" doesn't fit the orders given.

Feels like an Acid Goop thread with that start line, but I'll give it a serious response.
I consider medals to be for those truly rare moments when the stars align and private baldie just saved the whole squad. Giving them out left and right as some CO/XO's do, just makes them feel pointless.
