Prelude
A damp, cramped space cocooned many unblooded Yautja. They were young, immature and full of bravado. All of them huddled around a fire, their only source of light and warmth in the darkness. The fire flickered and crackled as the young bloods stepped aside to pave a path for their clan leader who crept up every once and awhile to preach and offer wisdom. Among the young bloods was Kavar, silently watching the clan leader make his way down the path. Kavar wasn't always silent, but on nights like this, silence is expected. The clan leader, C'iKia'Khalek, halted at the base of the fire. He towered over all of the young bloods, who feared his menacing appearance. C'iKia stared through the blazing inferno that was slowly creeping out of its pit. "Kulikkaji. Kulikkaji is our way. Kulikkaji is what guides us. Follow its will or face exile. We wouldn't be here today, in this very hut, had it not been for the will of Kulikkaji. Remember that, engrave it in your skulls," preached C'iKia, blank and unresponsive. After a long minute, C'iKia turned to his side, retrieved a large log from a nearby stack and threw it into the fire. The log was enough to tip off the flames. It reached for the roof of the hut and ate away at the intricate design. Panic and chaos quickly spread among the unblooded as they rushed for the exit. C'iKia remained at the base of the fire as the unblooded Yautja fled from the hut one by one. Kavar was among them, rushing through the group, only to be stopped by C'iKia as he brushed past the clan leader. "Remember this night, young blood. To hunt is our purpose, to serve Kulikkaji is our will. Go forth, your training has yet to begin," uttered C'iKia, who then released his grasp on Kavar. Kavar nodded and questioned, "Yes, but how must we hunt if we are burned alive?"
C'iKia snickered and spun around slowly. He sauntered along the path, showing no fear of the encroaching flames. "Remember this night, for as long as you hunt. Kulikkaji is our way!" he exclaimed, reiterating the last line, "Kulikkaji is our way!"
The Hunt
Soaring across space in a tiny clan ship encapsulating two other young bloods, Kavar leaned against the smooth metallic surface of the vessel. His right and left arms relaxed, he found himself nervously tapping his fingers against the wall. The hunt that was about to determine him and his other comrades future was nearing. Kavar had so many thoughts racing in his head . Would he succeed? Would he earn the respect of his elders? Kavar met success in his training but he was still worried. What if he failed? He knew that it was not the time to think heavily on such pressing matter, so he brushed the thoughts aside. The only thing that mattered now was the hunt. All this time, Mudajjii was standing right in front him, while Kavar was stuck in his thoughts.
"Certainly you must be lost." uttered Mudajji, staring through Kavar, "How come you have not noticed me standing this entire time?"
"Ah, yes, I was thinking. About the hunt. Are we almost there?" replied Kavar, his fingers ceasing the tapping.
"Five minutes. Grab your equipment and meet your brethren at the warp pad. Worry not young blood, stick to your training and you'll come out fine. Or maybe you'll end up decomposing into the ground. Only time will tell." responded Mudajjii, a respected elite over seeing the young bloods hunt on LV-873.
Kavar nodded. He pushed himself off the wall and proceeded to the equipment stores. Upon entering, he instantly made for the combistick. It was a weapon he familiarized himself with the most during training, so it was an obvious choice to him. Afterwards, he attached his wrist gauntlet, equipped his wrist blades and found himself staring at his bio mask. This was the moment he had been waiting for. His previous thoughts were now lost in the void, the only thing he felt now was determination. After all, he is a member of the Khalek clan, and coming home in a box was not apart of his plans. He grasped both sides of the mask meticulously and planted it snugly on his head. Still though, dread clawed Kavar at the back of his skull. Kavar whispered to himself, "Kulikkaji I will not fail you, I swear it," and he strided toward the warp pad.
Sunlight shined through the dense jungle trees. Up above, the rustling of leaves littered the air as menacing figures lept from tree to tree. The hunting grounds were active once again after decades of inactivity. Each hunter took different paths through the jungle. Kavar chose to drop to the ground and skulk about through the bushes. Kavar was attentively watching the dense overgrowth in front of him when he was interrupted by a single thud that infiltrated his mind. Instantly, he spun around and extracted the wrist blades on his right arm. A long, dark and sleek serpent was rushing toward Kavar with lightening by its side. The serpent moved erratically and leaped forward at Kavar. Kavar reacted by side stepping and plunging the blades into the side of the serpent. However, the serpents were formidable creatures. The acid melted straight through the wrist blades. Kavar realized the grave depth of his mistake, as young bloods were usually given blades that couldn't resist acid. The serpent instantly reacted by jerking its tail forward at Kavar, who caught the tail with his right hand. The serpent raised both its sharp claws and lunged them at Kavar. The claws were planted firmly on Kavar's shoulder, he retaliated by planting his left hand on the serpent's right arm. The serpent was preparing its jaw for a head bite. Kavar's mind was surrounded with thoughts of doubt. In the moment, he was prepared to die. But this would earn him the dishonor of his clan. That was something he could not accept. Living in the void of Kulikkaji was not something he sought. His instincts took over and he instantly knew what he had to do. Kavar swiftly raised his left leg and kicked the serpent repeatedly in the chest. Kavar had to let go off the serpent in process, and received a bulging cut from the serpents tail in his right shoulder. The trade off was paramount however, the serpent missed its jaw bite. Kavar instantly went for his combistick attached to his equipment belt and extended the spear. The serpent hissed and lunged forward one last time.
Mudajji blinked once. He stared back at the two young bloods who were each holding the tail of a serpent and bearing marks on their foreheads. "Hmmm, not what I expected. And what of Hudulkii?" uttered Mudajji, his eyes nonchalant.
"The hunt proved too much for him. I didn't expect much either, he talked too much." responded Etirii, full of pride. "The only thing that matters now is the hunt. You both passed and therefor, bring great honor to your clans. Let Hudulkii be an example of a dishonorable Yautja. Hunt well, Kavar and Etirii. We'll be home soon." answered Mudajjii. Both of the hunters nodded and went their separate ways on the vessel. Kavar sauntered toward the equipment stores once again. This time, he placed all of his equipment on the racks in exchange for a home brewed concoction stored in a unique bottle. On bottle were the words Kulikkaji engraved in a fancy font. It was the only thing he knew now. It was the only thing that mattered.
How do you intend to play your predator (as in, describe HOW you will act/play your predator)?
Kavar'Khalek was born into a very religious clan. He isn't a religious nut head, but he respects and follows the teachings of a god labeled Kulikkaji. As such, he engraves most of his equipment with that word and tends to preach sometimes about what he was influenced by in his younger years. Kavar prefers to stalk and ambush his prey if they are worthy. If he spots an honorable fighter, he'll rush at them with no intention of harm to see if they scare easy. He isn't fond of taunting unless taunted back, so he tends to ignore insulting others unprovoked. He also shares sentiment with living creatures, though he honors the hunt more than his personality, so he'll usually spare prey if they fought honorably enough.
He prefers fighting against humans, as he views them to be less ruthless and more respectful than serpents, however he always tries to fight off a few serpents so that he comes back with honorable trophies.
Why should we whitelist you?
I've observed and spectated so many preds in my time in CM and they've always interested me. I've even interacted with a few of them and the few I've interacted with was fun and interesting. Predators spice up rounds, even if they are their to antag. The RP interactions you can have with a predator creates a story which CM is very good at.
I've also noticed predators who were not so focused on the roleplay, which I believe is the sole reason predator role exists. You're essentially playing an overpowered, tough as fuck character who has the power to fuck shit up on both sides of the game. This is a role only bestowed to those who are mature and can handle having power.
A mix is required, gameplay and roleplay need to be balanced. If I'm white listed, I'll try my best to balance these two aspects of CM and tailor a story for other players to enjoy.
Have you been banned from CM in the last month for any reason (we will check, and lies may result in immediate denial)?
In the last month, no.
Are you currently banned from any other servers and if so, why?
The only server I ever play on is CM
Do you understand that any player - donor or otherwise - can have their whitelist status revoked should they break our rules or disobey the Predator Code of Honor?
Yup.
I play Daniel Sullivan.
