Delta - Pred Worshippers

Just a quick insight into a little but fun situation that cropped up last night with Delta and the Preds on LV-624.

From my point of view as Zathar-Veraz:

Doing some scouting around colony, spooking a few marines with the "I seeeeee youuuuu" voice file and generally being a cloaked sneaky boi.

Head back to the lodge to see an abnormal amount of Deltas in the jungle towards the lodge. My first thought was "Fuck, do I have enough plasma caster to go around" before I noticed one of the other Preds Uncloak ed speaking to the deltas.

I thought it was going to end badly but non of the marines seemed to have their weapons out, a few of them even had thrown down their weapons after being told by the SL to drop them when they unholstered them.

I uncloak and stand by the other pred and start querying why the Oomans where there, she responded by saying she wasn't too sure but she was trying to get rid of them. They had given her a playing card before one of the marines hands over a head band. The second pred puts it on and at around this time the third pred arrives to investigate due to me notifying the Preds about Oomans near the lodge. He uncloaks as well and at this point we are being bestowed random objects as gifts. I receive a smoking pipe. Machetes are passed over, a revolver is handed across as well as a lot of food and MREs. All whilst the Preds are just chatting about how subservient Oomans are and how it was clear why their ancestors chose to teach them how to build etc.

Astra Sparks gave us a machete so I returned the favour by bestowing a ceremonial dagger to her. Unfortunately before I could find her to hunt her as prey she had died by the Xenos.

Anyway. It was a fascinating scene and not something I was expecting to happen. Kudos to all of Delta involved and I just want to hear a bit more from the marine side of things about what the general reaction was to the Preds.

it's times like this that remind me that pred rp isn't dead, I managed to get myself an Apprentice after she bested me through RNGesus and was honorable, even gave her my combistick.

Sometimes hit and miss with marines. You have the Unga Dunga valid hunters who just shoot and chase you for whatever reason without any interaction what so ever.

Then you have those who actively try to RP, those that do get brownie points from me and I don't usually kill them. Just smack them around a bit after arming them with a dagger.

I'm glad it didn't end up with a huge battle because the marines were already in enough trouble with the Xenos and Symbs queen. They didn't need to lose an entire squad to Pred casters/SD

I think i also met you with Dante on Prison. You had a house east of the crashed ship. That was a pretty good round

We did indeed encounter the Deltas in prison. After all of (read most of) the Deltas left, you and Dante remained. I left after a short while to go roar at Xenos. I come back and see you get butchered. Almost teared up but then we dragged your bodies to the other marines. Although I don't think they revived you.

I recall being a DEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEELTARD one round as Maxim. Handing gauze and ointment to a pred due to a couple of acid and slash shit. Cuz muh ic and not knowing pred medical. It's my only other interacton etc..

Well yeah I was a delta SADAR spec once. We encountered a pred and I was on point. It roared at me and I fired an AP rocket at it. Direct hit. The pred didnt get up.

Another time i found their lodge as a B18er in the crashed ship. Tried to keep them at bay with a flamer and AP rifle for bravo to pick up their bits and pieces. I critted one of them, but i got hit in the head one too many. I was turned into a worthy trophy at least.

But then again Ive had the chance to have fun RP with preds, getting kidnapped, have duels, have them take me to their ship to give me a katana only to turn a synth against us to use it later.

I like gving preds the protein bar that i dearly keep in my helmet or some other sort of souvenir. They never accept it though. Cant be buddies with preds unless you fight them, win and show mercy. But theyre fun.

Yeah, i lost my head when i was fighting the Hunter.
Dante escaped but got hit hard. You dragged him back but nobody cared about him so he died
