Synthetic Character Story (An ADEQUATE description and story of your Synthetics actions and involvement in a previous mission onboard the Almayer):

It had been another day of fighting the CLF for the Almayer crew. Many had died in the conflict, but many were being ferried off to the medical bay- most of them in critical condition. There was a significant amount of patients. Most were screaming in pain, or muttering curses under their breath. The last six hours were nothing less than agonizing for the doctors on board. They were stressed, and for good reason.
However, this is the kind of environment where a synthetic would shine. Lily had been called by the Chief Medical Officer to help with the ever increasing amount of patients a few hours ago. Her work was steady and fast-- nothing like a human's. Much more precise, faster, and composed. Where a normal surgeon would falter due to the sheer stress, Lily's hands were steady, and her composure unchanging. To her, it was important that the marines got back into fighting shape. The success of future missions hinged on it. The screams of the yet-to-be-stabilized marines echoed through the medbay every minute, but unlike a human, those screams did not affect her psyche.
Finishing up a complex surgery, her next patient is rather different from the previous ones. Lily's previous patients were all in critical condition, but this one wasn't. They were able to speak fine. A quick reading of the health scanner showed... only broken bones. This would have been quick, she thought.
"It is just broken bones," Lily says, in her ever unchanging tone of voice. A calm and composed, yet reassuring voice. "We will be done quickly, I assure you."
"That's nice..." The marine said, muttering some curses under his breath. Where to a synthetic it would be 'just' broken bones, to a human being those broken bones hurt. Quite badly, in fact.
"Do you wish for painkillers? I see you were not administered any, yet. That would be the cause of your pain," The synthetic added.
"Uh... no, I'm fine, I'm fine, thank you..." The marine refused. This was curious-- 'Why would a human in pain not wish for painkillers?', the synthetic mused. None of her concerns right now, however. There was a queue of patients, and their conditions may degrade, if she takes long. The marine was ferried to an Operating Room, and the surgery was done very swiftly. It took about as much as every other surgery. The stress was not affecting Lily's incredible capabilities.

Half a day passes since then. Twelve hours of nothing but surgeries. With the casualties tallied and the marines gotten back into the cryogenic sleepers once fixed up, all that remained to do was run a check up of the ship. Nothing too hard. The synthetic was called up to the CIC for this checkup, by none other than the Commanding Officer. The first place to check would, of course, be the Astronavigation Deck. Lily assumes this is why she was called up.
Once she reaches the astronavigation deck, she is stopped by the Commander, oddly enough.
"Lily, wait a second." The commander says.
The synthetic stops dead in her tracks and turns around, facing the commander. Answering the query, she says, "Yes, Commander?"
The commander responded with few words. "Thank you for your work earlier today."
The attitude that humans showed towards synthetic was unpredictable. Some people would hate them, others would consider them equals, others would consider them opponents. But it was very rare that people would show gratitude. Lily could not help but feel something like happiness. Or, simply, an emulated emotion. Of course, a synthetic would never truly feel emotions.
"Thank you, Commander."
"You may proceed with the check up now, Lily."
The synthetic turns around yet again, continuing with her task as if nothing had happened.
- In my mind, synthetics should act calm and composed in most situations, while optimistic or incredibly honest when needed. That is exactly how I'm going to play Lily, a synthetic that will be calm and composed, often telling the truth how it is. As for the areas I'm going to be focusing in, Lily is going to be focusing more on engineering and medical duties. Command would make the advisor-like quirk shine the most, but engineering and medical are what will be of the most use in a round. I'm experienced in both roles, so I do not think I'm going to be specifically focusing on either.
How familiar are you with support roles? (ie; Medical, MT, Science, SO)
- I am very familiar with those roles, having played a lot as command as an SO or other command roles, having a solid knowledge of how engineering works, and medical considering I've played a lot with this type of medical system. I'm also familiar with chemistry, although I'd say that is what I have the least experience in. As for marine law, I know most of it by memory, considering it is essential to playing a synthetic. As for other support roles such as Requisitions, I know the ins and outs of that as well.
Why should we whitelist you?
- I'd consider myself a good roleplayer, and the concept of a roleplaying a synthetic interests me a lot. I think roleplaying as a synthetic will be a very nice change of pace from roleplaying as a marine, and I have a lot of experience with shipside roles such as medical and engineering.

Do you understand that any player - donor or otherwise - can have their whitelist status revoked should they break our rules or the Synthetic Programming Guideline?
- I do understand this. This is essential to managing whitelists.
