I lived on the planet Georgia 525 (70 Ophiuchi A V). Born on a terraforming colony named Gilbert's Crater. Georgia 525 was practically a desert in 2155 when the colony was established, but due to some terraforming the landscape is much more habitable. The colony itself was established for its location, the crater was large enough to support the growth of a colony while allowing shelter from dust storms. After the terraforming increased the habitability on the surface (mostly increasing the humidity in the atmosphere) a burst of growth occurred on the planet. Manufacturing and ore extraction became important industries on the colony. Chinook 91 GSO station orbits Georgia 525, it's the largest USCM station on the outer rim, and Georgia 525 grew to fit the needs of the station. If goods could be produced on planet the cost of transporting materials greatly dropped.

I was drafted into the USCM on December 21st, 2183. Guess enlistment rates dropped too low, so they started drafting. Daniel got caught in the same draft. The cause is noble, but I'll never forget my mothers face when my brother and I got on that shuttle. It really sucks that the USCM gets this bad rap nowadays, if we aren't here to help then why are we here?

I'm kinda skeptic about W-Y's motives sometimes. I get this feeling that they know something we don't. Some corporation has major leverage over the only form of protection on the rim, seems kinda fishy to me.
