All people want is an end to four hour rounds. This means we need a nuclear solution to solve the problem. Re-add hugger combat to solve the 4 hour delayyys rounds.

There are two kinds of four hour meme rounds: the ones where both sides are so bad they can't kill each other, and the ones where both sides are so good they can't kill each other.

We must add a third side, made entirely of predaliens, to solve this.

90% of the time it's both side being so bad they can't kill each other. A lot of times it is painful/hard to watch and I go do something else until the round ends.

Simple solution: Have, at the two hour mark, a 30 minute countdown begin. At the end the ayylamers core or whatever has a unga shoving their head in it and it blows up. The side that won is determined by what the adminus decide should be done at the time. Bam done everyone is dead and round is over.

MODERATING FOUR HOUR ROUNDS.
My general solution to four hour rounds is at the three and a half hour mark i queen mother report and subtle message the commander a single location to charge with all their might to hopefully bring the round to a close in an awesome final bloody clash. I usually offer some support via subtle messaging to the losing side too so it doesn't feel entirely like they're being sent to their deaths alone.
Nine times outta ten people enjoy it and it ends the round before or at the four hour mark.

It always seems like ice is guilty of long rounds. I’ve seen a 5 hour one somewhat recently.

I think an admin-controlled final battle is appropriate for super long rounds, or some other type of end all be all event. It gives some purpose to the two hour plus slog while making the round more enjoyable for the living and dead.

I have to say though, nothing puts hairs on your chest (albiet GREY ONES) quite like a five hour Ice round as medic.
