Description of the incident: So we were having a chipper immersive round with no lag nor issues whatsoever. As always I rush forward with whatever squad got sent into frontline (I got Bravo on FOB duty but who the fuck plays Bravo lol) and promptly died due to the shitty xeno meta. It was bad before and it's still bad always, the one-handed patch was a sneaky marine nerf. So anyway all that don't matter none, I was a ghost and enjoying the deep, intricate roleplaying of my peers. Classic quotes such as 'fucking turn off help intent you twat' and 'whoever puts delta on FOB is a retard' got thrown around, good times were had by all.

Until the incident - the synth in question simply turned off. Like an old Nokia Phone on its 20th birthday, like a light switch, poof. I was horrified. Synths are my favorite part of CM - who can forget their usage as immortal soldiers or mine detectors running around to trigger eggs - and to see one in that state just... horrified me. Because it set me back in reality. Suddenly I was no longer (the ghost of) a soldier fighting for what's right in a faraway planet with the might of the USCM, but living on my dad's basement again having to feed the pizza delivery guy he keeps chained to the toilet. Synths should NEVER turn off, they're like, moved by solar wind panels. That this ever happened is unthinkable. The last time an electronic appliance shut off on me from lack of power was my Gameboy Advanced SP, which was my last electronic appliance but regardless - why wouldn't the CO just plug all the synths up during cryosleep? Do they need battery naps?

As said this is unacceptable and ruined my CM immersion, won't be coming back.
