The medical staff onboard the Almayer are subject to Marine Law, but how many of these laws affect them and where does their rank go or extend to?
A CMP has attempted to arrest me as the CMO for 'Disrespect to a Superior' when I insulted them for how they conducted Marine Law.
Different from other roles on the Almayer, the doctors are civilian personnel and not military, meaning they don't have a rank and their authority is only over the medbay.
Where does the CMO's rank go then if that law applies to medical staff down to the CMP? Does this mean that the CMO could technically insult a PFC and get arrested due to disrespect to a superior? But, wait, the CMO has technical say over what some Squad Medics do and can sway their actions, but, if they're not a part of Marine Law, how and where does this law apply? Civilians on the ship should only be subject to disrespect and other similar laws if it pertains to the aCO of the ship at that moment.
You also have some limited authority over the Combat Medics, as you have absolute say (except in the case of the Commander and Executive Officer) over all medical procedures on and off of the Almayer.
Where is the CMO in the ranking then and how far do laws apply to them?

CMO blurb when you join as them states,
"You are a civilian, and are not subject to follow military chain of command, but you do work for the USCM.
You have final authority over the medical department, medications, and treatments...
...As the chief medical officer you answer to the acting commander. Special circumstances may change this."
As a civilian, you're outside the ranking structure bar those mentioned, so cannot be done for disrespect to a higher rank aside from those. Insult away.

Re: Medical Staff and Marine Law
to me, heads of staff are all the LCDR rank, the CMPs effective rank is LCDR, the CE is a LCDR, and the CMO is the 'LCDR' of medbay

Ship's doctors were typically untrained in medicine, and only mainly acted as medics. Things like nurses were not military until recently. But the US for example does have the medical corps which consists of commissioned physicians(which rank only under line officers).
