You've captured all four survivors, half the furhost captures are yours, YOU ARE ON FIRE. Marines are on the planet now and yet you manage to capture two of them until BOOM, you scout the whole map trying to go through a tunnel back to the hive with your third capture in your belly when you find out they were all C4d to bits. You ultimately die like a noob after being pursued by the scout spec and some armorless pfc around the whole map.

Tell us your story about that one round where you thought nothing could go better and that you'd live up to see the last tall down just to baldly die afterwards.

It was a great evening on Ice. I was a Crusher who just wanted to help her sisters out

I basically went ham on my first try and helped saved like at least 5 other sisters by blocking bullets for them so other can drag them out.

We managed to chase rines all the way up to the DS, then the OB started beeping.

I would've gotten away too, if it hadn't been for one random Drone bodyblocking my retreat. This was back when flame tiles still did damage, and I died unceremoniously.

Elite Hivelord. Ice Colony. We had effectively destroyed the marines and we had a ton of really good T3s and T2s. We crash into the Almayer. The ham was went, we wrecked ass. Then, in one fell swoop, our queen died and the lancers rushed CIC. I met the wrong end of two buckshot barrels.

I'll tell my story because believe me, salt can last more than 24 hours.

Yesterday I was having a round in which only 7 larvae spawned and we lost about 30 ticks due to no roundstart queen, anyhow I went runner and found an unarmed survivor, captured it. Me and a hunter managed to capture A TON of monkeys, and after a while we also got to capture a second survivor, so everything started going better for the hive before the rines arrived. Went rav in order to wreck

Marines came from crashed ship, pounced one and cut his arm, yay, first hands off. Me alone with a spitter were holding the corridor against marines and everything was going well, we also faced a flank, slashed many, slashed some more, I was doing good. Once the rines were in the hive Quen wasn't... really good at fighting as queen so we had to retreat north. I was left behind devouring a monkey about to burst cuz no way I was going to lose that larva soo, Queen went up and screeched and shit and I followed them afterwards when all rines were up. I pounced the grenadier and went towards the glorious resin door for my escape while under a barrage of fire. Opened the first door... opened the second... and. There was a third fucking door. I died.

This drone who we were bashing at roundstart for making triple doors had built now FOUR LAYERS OF DOORS on north exit for the hive escape. FOUR. I was 50 ticks away from mature too.

So I died due to a bald drone. Not surprised tbh.

Somehow we lost the advantage and all of our heavy hitters died, leaving the Queen, myself as an Ancient Drone, and a few spitters/sentinels.

I managed to find the synthetic and blame them before dying as the last xeno.

I remember one time as a drone on prison, I was working away at making some forward nests in the shows, slowly yet steadily. They were coming off quite nicely, even if they probably would never get used. Then, as I was hauling some eggs to the forward nests, I suddenly am shot at by an unseen force. Before I have the slightest idea of what is going on, I die to a small scouting party that just happened to be coming by sooner than I had expected.

One game we lost partially because we were winning too much. We managed to capture a buttload of marines. They were all huggered, dragged back into the hive and put in nests. That's the best outcome a hive can have, right? Nope. We forgot to divert enough sentinels to keep them all down and we soon had a little marine riot on our claws, all the while the other marines decided to push into our scrambling lines. It wasn't that great.

I do remember one round on LV where I was playing marine and managed to break free of my nest at the perfect time, just as the wounded queen was coming by. I buckshotted her into crit and the other marines chasing her followed up with their shots and she died.

My buckshot just wouldn't stop coming. A spitter came from my right side (pretty sure it was already injured) and a sentinel from my left. I blasted the sentinel, strafed to dodge the spitters neuro and blasted the spitter too. It's probably one of the most if not the most robust thing I've ever done. Aliens got sammiched, hunted and killed. Bad round for ayys.

Everything was going awesome. I finally felt like I had clicked as a Ravager. I'm getting critical dashes, taking down marines, proving my worth. We're bashing them down to Nexus, I rush up and immediately decap perhaps what was their only healthy defender. Then I retreat directly back into CAS as it was called down. I exploded into a million pieces instantly.
