Family:
Mother | Amanda Marie Hopper | Died at age 37 | Profession: Music Director |
Mother | Ellen Faith Hopper | Age: 40 | Profession: Professional Singer |
Sister | Eylie Lorenz Hopper | Age: 23 | Profession: Martial Arts Teacher |
Biography:
Born from a single mother, Ellen Hopper, Jackson was raised in the small yet successful town of Fort Thomas, Kentucky. At the age of three, his mother would marry Amanda Barton, and they would move from a small, one story brick house at the edge of town, to a large, two story house located more towards the center, close to where he would eventually attend his elementary classes. They would adopt his sister, Eylie, who's parents whereabouts like many were unknown. The two quickly formed a bond together, which would later lead to large arguments between the two when he would later explain at age 26 why he needed to join the Marines.
Due to both of his mothers' professions, he quickly fell in love with music, joining his school's Chorus program at age 9 singing mostly soprano, and his Band program at age 11 playing trumpet. Encouraged by both himself and his parents, Jackson continuously practiced, excelling at both, being invited to numerous advanced programs throughout the states of Ohio and Kentucky. To attend these, Jackson had to keep decent grades, being a mostly B and B+ student through his elementary and middle school years.
However, the school district began to notice both his attendance to school, rehearsals, along with his grades, had dropped during his 7th grade year. This was due to the sudden passing of his mother, Amanda Marie Hopper, after an elevator malfunction sent her and 4 other teachers falling 20 stories down an elevator shaft to their deaths at a Music Director's conference in Cincinnati, Ohio. Although the school had been notified by the hospital who attempted to treat her, Ellen nor Jackson had explained it to anyone. Both of them began to struggle with the loss, as Jackson's mother barely paid off the home. Then, a saving grace appeared: an opportunity for Ellen to join a professional chorus group in Columbus, Kentucky who was willing to pay lots for a new soloist. She accepted, and the family's spirits rose once again, as Jackson began to strive for a chance to go to collage for music education. During this time, Jackson joined the wrestling team and also took Kickboxing lessons with his sister to deal with the stress, though he would eventually drop out of the lessons while his sister would continue on, eventually learning Karate as well.
Upon graduating high school, due to his superb singing and instrumental abilities, he was invited to and attended the University of Louisville, gaining a masters in Teaching in Music Education.
Once he graduated college, he worked for two years as a band director at a large high school in Tallahassee, Florida. However, whether it was God's plan, or dumb luck, he became ill on October 4th, 2243, and had a substitute teacher take his place for that day to simply teach the class on the history of Jazz. However, from where he laid ill, he heard the explosions. For what was simply supposed to be a warning explosion from the CLF, demanding the release of a captured comrade in a military base just ten minutes away from the school- accidentally turned into a slaughter. Throwing a frag grenade into a 3rd floor classroom which they had supposedly assumed empty, killed 15 students and wounded 7 including the teacher. With that, police were on scene and the CLF retreated into the school, taking hostages. After a horrible mis-fire and panic, another grenade was set off- this time in Jackson's classroom. 2 students were killed, with 9 others wounded. Afterwards, police forces pushed inside, leaving 20 dead, three of them being CLF, and 17 wounded, one also being a CLF.
After hearing the news, Jackson was scared, depressed, but angered. With this, he had decided it was time for revenge. Applying for the USCM, he would be quickly sent off for training. After a year, he would be assigned to the USS Almayer, where he would begin his service with the USCM as a new member of Charlie squad.

4/13/3636 | Physical |:
CPL Jackson Hopper was clearing a CLF foxhole when rigged explosives went off around him as a trap. The entire foxhole collapsed on him, and was in critical condition when dug out. While he commented that it was 'just a scratch', shrapnel had completely destroyed his right eye. His spine was also heavily damaged, but still in one piece. He was lucky to have not been paralyzed. After several months of physical therapy, he was reassigned to his old squad.
10/21/3373 | Mental |:
CPL Jackson Hopper was found in a burnt out school in tears during a humanitarian aid on LV-149 after a long two week engagement between CLF and USCM forces. He had welded his way into the basement which laid untouched, which led to him discovering the bodies of 9 students and a teacher. All ten were considered dead due to excessive CO/CO2 exposure for an unknown amount of time. It is noted that he was clutching photos of his old band class while teaching at Sainthills High-school in Tallahassee, Flordia. Possible mental breakdown due to the bodies and setting reminding him of the incident that took place at said high-school. Would consider constant therapy to assist.

NOTE: Filled in by Jackson 'Stiggs' Hopper
Close Friends:
Lydia 'Synth' Tournier: One of the first Charlies I became really close with. I essentially serve as her wing man when she isn't busy saving other people's asses (including mine) or hanging out with her other close buddies. Would walk to and die at the end of the galaxy for her, if needed. Yeah, we bully each other and occasionally spar each other (though she has yet to have bested me) out of slight anger or just for shits n' giggles, but we're close like glue. She's the only marine that I will allow to make jokes about my name, such as calling me 'Bunny', but Turnips and Bunnies go together like we do! ...Wait. Shit. Did I just-
Tournier: "It's a lovely last name, by the byes, you are lucky... Like a bunny! Hop hop!"
Stiggs: "Yeah... WAIT A MINUTE- NO, NO BUNNY JOKES, WE AGREED TO THIS DAMNIT!"
UPDATE: She finally has beat me in one small lil' spar we did in the hallway, though I was in pilot gear while she was in full armor, and I didn't wanna beat her up too bad before the Op, so she got lucky. If it were the real deal, she would've got pummeled and I would've done the good ol' suplex finisher.
Chris 'Warlock' Williams: Another good pal of mine. Always a huge supporter of mine when it comes to ghost huntin'. We got each other's backs, and though we haven't seen too much shit, we've seemed to have gone through hell. Now it's only a matter of time if we'll ever get our asses out of it.
"Well Stiggs, think you're gonna find some ghosts today?"
Aiko 'Sputter' Amano: You know- uh- no super specific reason why I moved her here. She's a pretty good overall marine, has experience in many things: being a Staff Officer, a standard, and recently a Pilot, in which I was introduced to 'cockpit stutters' by her and Kennel. They were- heh- fun, surprisingly. Yeah, she's cool and thinks I'm cool as well. Definitely a keeper- as a PILOT OFFICER. Yeah. T-that's what I meant! She taunts about Lydia and I, but I'll get her back for all the shit she's done to me.
Aiko:"W-we're n-not a t-thing!"
Stiggs: "Not a thing, sure..."
Verena 'Whimsy' Knox: A close friend of mine on the Almayer. She's quite a nice marine to talk to when you can understand at least 50% of what she says. She gives me plenty of hugs, and has saved my life on numerous occasions. It's a shame she's mainly a Bravo, though she'll substitute time to time as a Grape.
Stiggs: "Don't worry people, I got my extra hour of beauty sleep, just for your enjoyment!"
Translated Gibberish: Knox: "It's gonna take more than hour to fix that!"
Jayne 'Ambulance' Staymates: A dependable Charlie and Squad Medic. Has saved my ass plenty of times in the field. Also a very nice woman, probably could share a drink with her sometime. I dunno. Also- she's been awfully... semi-flirty with me lately. Like, I'm not gonna complain- I MEAN I'LL BE CONCERNED- but uh.. I'll have to be watching my back and try not to get drunk near her..
Jayne: "If we are going back to cryo, I've been sleeping bad, mind joinin' Stiggs?"
Stiggs: "Uh- maybe..?"
5 seconds later
Stiggs: "WAIT- DID SHE MEAN- OH GOD."
Phi 'Makaria' Rathens: Another Bimbo. Good with whatever the corps decides they want her to do. Thinks she's hot stuff, so I bully her a bit about it. Before anyone starts goin' off on me- she's just as mean to me. Glad to have her by my side out there.
Phi: "Yeah- watch my cute butt!"
Stiggs: "Your butt is dumb."
Phi: "..."
Friends/Respected People:
Finnian Cottier: An amazing Commander if I had to say so myself. To be under his leadership is something to be thankful for and to be proud of. Glad to serve with and for him.
"Strangely enough Commander, we make a good team. Imagine if we fought these things over and over again while Commanding together?"
Leon "Ghost" Daemon: This man is a pretty effective Spec whenever I see him. Usually runs the Scout Spec, and the half the time he's literally his goddamn call-sign: a Ghost. Has scared the living hell outta me time and time again, whether it's been on accident or purpose. Gives me faith that I'll find a ghost... Someday.
"For God's sake Daemon, don't sneak up on me like that in your Scout gear! Gonna make me think I found a real one!"
Mikey 'Snatch' Anders: A pretty solid CMP I must say. Always says hello to me in the hallways, and will not deal with any weird or stupid shit when he's on duty. Carries out the marine law well and is a friend of Lydia's. A friend of Lydia's is a friend of mine.
Elena 'Tofu' Mei: Another good Charlie. Able to be both a field medic and a Pilot, which is pretty impressive to me. Although I find her absolute love towards Weyland a bit weird, I don't blame her, it's a big opportunity for her. A nice person to talk about deep stuff to, and now that I look back at it, I feel a bit bad.
"Everyone is here for some weird reason or another, mostly fucked up ones, but yours is special. I like that."
Natalia 'Nutella' Quiroga: One hell of a soldier. She can run, shoot, and talk shit all at the same time. She bullies me, but it's fine, I can take it. If only she was a Grape.
"Told you that tank was a piece of junk." Natalia proceeds to grin.
Nicole May: A great Charlie. Hell of a fighter with a shit ton of courage. I will admit, she has friendly fired me, and actually killed me once, but she's still pretty okay. I always forgive her.
Stiggs: "H-HELP ME!"
May proceeds to burst fire him to death.
May: "OH GOD STIGGS I'M SO SORRY!"
Estrella Zeal: Another good Charlie. One hell of a shot with the Smartgun, even with the assisted aiming. The both of us plan to compete and go at each other for the Almayer Heavyweight Champion Belt once the Commander actually does it. When that happens, heh- it's gonna be one hell of a fight.
Stiggs: "You hear the Commander is still thinkin' on the Heavyweight Almayer Championship belt?"
Zeal: "Oh-ho, really now?"
Derrick Sholl: Once again- another Charlie. This man has balls man, literally putting himself in front of the tank AND his squad to protect them from the enemy. If this man goes down- I'll make sure his death ain't in vain.
Sholl: "Step back people, I got this!"
Heinz 'Wulfe' Meuller: Oh boy. This man, I swear. One hell of a leader, I must say. He knows what he's doing for sure, and has lead the marines to victory on numerous occasions. He may have a thing against hand holding, and he may taunt me about being a thing with Lydia- WHICH WE'RE NOT A THING yet YOU SHIT- but he's a great asset to the Almayer for sure.
Heinz: "Do I smell love in the air?"
Stiggs: "W-what? NO!"
2 Ops later...
Heinz: "Admit it Jackson, she's already SURRENDERED over to you!" (Get it, because Lydia is French?)
Stiggs: "N- NO! WE'RE NOT! SHUT UP YOU SHIT!"
Roger Woollard: A top notch Pilot. A man who knows how to work CAS and will give the enemy hell when given the chance. Part of the 3 man CAS dream team.
Amelie Beatrix: Another amazing pilot. When she isn't on CAS, she's helping tend to the wounded after they've been CASEVAC'd. Definitely someone you want helping you while in the air. Also part of the 3 man CAS dream team.
Christine 'Rabies' Kennel: Like Delta, one of her many traits is being able to get the job done through whatever means possible, even if it means being unga as fuck- the usual. As stated, she and Aiko introduced me to 'cockpit stutters', which was uh... an 'intresting' experience and prank. Also tries to snag money from me and many others when she has the chance. One hell of a leader I must say. Enemy is in trouble when she becomes a Commander. Also, she's a Bimbo.
"Alright, 5 bucks. Pay up."
