Reason for ban (If you have a Permaban, it should be the EXACT MESSAGE YOU GET WHEN YOU LOGIN with the Error code that looks like this: X##XXX##. If you do not provide this EXACTLY you can't be unbanned): This is a week ban but going to be perma. So I did speak to a staff before if it was ok to escalate this. So this started in the debrief, he started having a go at me and he said go in your area when speaking to another marine, So I RP call him a "fag", he then says call me that again and I will punch you, I say punch me and I will burn you (as I had a flamer on my back). He then trys to cause more problems, so I call him a "fag" once again. Once doing so I pull out the knife from my boot, I was sure he seen it as he stood looking at me for 10 seconds before punching me, after this I stab him once, everyone in Bravo at that time was on my side due to this person trying to cause problems, I even had a bravo member "I did not see anything" as a joke. We find out Alpha and Bravo have to work together on this mission and set up FOB. Once on the shuttle, he attempts to cause more problems, if I'm right he called me a retard. Once landed I start setting up barbed wire and he begins to again be disrespectful towards me, at this time I ask the staff if I can escalate as I was thinking if we had to go out and he caused problems then, he won't return. But at this time I punched him, he then chased me with a crowbar, I wanted to scare him off and fired my flamer behind me to block his running go he could not get me. He ran straight into it and fell over, I went over to him with help intent on to put him out as I don't think he knows how to, but I forgot I had my flamer in my hands and I hit him with it. He then died straight away. I then did not want to get caught for this crime so I put his body under the shuttle, (I have got informed by staff now that I should not do that). The shuttle came down and his body went. The staff Kurmac then started messaging me saying "Hey bud, any particular reason you whipped out a knife on a guy, toasted him with a flamer, and tossed his body under the dropship?" I then start making a reply of the story and he then rushes me with "You've got a minute to respond before I day ban you for being a team killing fuck and ignoring staff members." So I send him what I wrote so far so he does not think i'm ignoring him, what I sent was "Ok, So I did speak to a staff before if it was ok to escalate this. So this started in the debreif, he started having a go at me and he said go in your area when speaking to another marine, So I RP call him a "fag"" as that is only a small part of the story there is not much to go on, but he replys with this while i'm finishing up on the main body. "Alright, okay so looking at your logs, you literally got punched, and then took that as 'time to whip out my knife and begin murdering this guy hoo hah', which is low rp as fuck and the dumbest shit I ever did see, you then escalated this further for no good reason, and you're currently under probation after having your perma recently lifted, I'm having it re-applied, come again never fucko." And then I quick send a reply and said wait there is more, he then bans me without the rest said.

I was the staff who spoke to him if it was okay to escalate, his ahelp was "Hey, If I such have a real RP problem with someone, we both have been in a brawl and shit, how far can I take it? ", I replied that he can escalate as long as he follows proper escalation and it wasn't over a very stupid thing, he did not mention anything about what happened or who he had a brawl with or whateven started it.

So not only did you knife a guy in briefing over insulting and punching you once, which is bad enough, but then you went and burnt him to death for trying to retaliate after you punched him and gibbed him, denying him a revival as well.

This is all kinds of wrong.

I would like to personally apologise to Artivus for my unreasonable attitude towards him during this situation, despite what he'd done he was clearly cooperative and didn't seem to fully understand what he'd done wrong. I simply saw his actions, read his prior note history and took him for just another griefing idiot and ignored his complete side of the story. I don't feel the ban was un-deserved but I definitely should've handled this better.

I stabbed him as I thought it was clear enough that if he did cause problems, I would stab him. Straight away a medic was on him. The death was a mistake, I did not want him to die, if he could have been revived I would have loved it but I thought we can't clone

Thanks Karmac for the apologie, I know I have done wrong but in my eyes I don't think I understood how to escalate it right. And I still don't, I understand it abit more after having a chat with an admin but yeah, it would have been great to tell my story then maybe even know what to do so it wont happen in the future

Also, I never knew that putting a body under LZ, was bannable, I think if posable the rules of escalation and LZ thing should be put in the rules if that's ok so others may understand

So we're gonna be marking this down to a 3-day ban at this point, no perma pending. While you did try to work with Karmac on what you did wrong, him then jumping the gun after seeing your probation warning, your actions are still not ideal given the case. Having conflicts with other Marines is fine, even physical fights with fists, but you shouldn't be whipping out a gun for anything other than self-defense in a life-threatening situation. This alone isn't worth a three-day, but because you shoved his body under onto the LZ, removing him from the round for good. If someone died, you should be getting them to the medic, not denying them the chance to continue the round. While you did ahelp to another staff, they said you were allowed to escalate reasonably, and even if you didn't mean to kill the guy, you still shot and killed him. We'll knock the ban down for you but you do need to watch yourself when it comes to future fights. Resolved - Ban reduced to 12-hour ban (remaining time for a 3-day)
