How A Distress Beacon REALLY works

Post by Vispain » 28 May 2018, 14:14

USS Almayer. Est Regional Time: 1300

Distress Beacon goes out from USS Almayer

Marine Space Force, Herculis, Chinook 91 GSO Station. Est Regional Time: 1310

TSGT on Monitor - "Sir, a Distress Beacon was just launched from the -checks monitor- USS Almayer."

Commander Joe Kennel - "If it is truly important HC will get a transmission. Put them on hold. I refuse to waste funds on a mercenary detachment without Command approval and a known reason."

Meanwhile, at High Command USCM High Command

TSGT on Monitor - " Sir, a transmission just came in from the USS Almayer."
Admiral Carson - "Play it already. I'm a little busy here" looks back at his cards "Your turn Heinz."
Commander Mueller looks at his cards
TSGT on Monitor - "Playing now."
Monitor - "This is Staff Officer Johann Klaus of the USS Almayer requesting immediate assistance against alien enemy forces. They are attempting to take over the ship. Please send assistance ASAP!"
Commander Mueller looks up and shrugs, then lays down a card
Admiral Carson - "Probably just a SO overreacting while the Commander takes a smoke break. We'll put them on hold. If it is truly important the regional command will get a distress beacon."

Marine Space Force, Herculis, Chinook 91 GSO Station. Est Regional Time: 1340
Admiral Joe Kennel - "You know what. Send the standard Code Black response transmission."

hmm u right to a point. Kennel isn't worthy yet of it. Only Carson or a relative.
Carson stays admiral. Heinz stays CO in this.
