The USS Missionary: Awakening

ARES flickers on after a month after the crew of the USS Alaymer went into cyro sleep. Its screen flickers a few and then stays on as she picks up another vessel floating dormant in space. This vessel, a small prison barge used for transporting prisoners was off course and as ARES tried to hail it over comms, there was no response. Leading ARES to awaken the crew and begin a recon mission. Selecting only a handful of the crew to be awoken, and as per protocol the Commanding Officer, Heinz Mueller, and the Executive Officer, Elizabeth Nightingale. Out of the crew awoken however, was Head Researcher Elena Mei, Squad Leader Cassius Klaus, Mission Specialist Mikey Anders, Smart Gunner Broden Ackers, Squad Medics Arella Aharon and Lydia Tournier, and Squad Engineer Jackson Hopper. Approximate time was 9 AM Earth Central Standard Time.
ARES: "Commander Heinz Mueller, good morning sir."
Heinz wakes up out of his cyro sleeper and stretches looking around and feeling something was off, and of course hating the rather annoying voice of ARES
Heinz: "Guten Morgen ARES, have we reached our destination?"
ARES: "Negative sir, an incident has occurred, a prison barge is drifting in our sector, the USS Missionary, all attempts to hail them over comms has failed and I sense no lifeforms aboard. A reconnaissance team and mission has now been authorized and word has been sent to High Command of our situation."
Heinz: "so a recon mission for a floating vessel...nein, dumme maschine
ARES: "I will have you know sir I am indeed fluent in German, have a nice day kommandant"
Heinz: "I will one day find a way to get rid of you..."
Heinz then steps out into CiC and sees Elizabeth Nightingale already at her post and salutes him. Meanwhile in the crew cyro sleepers the crew selected to be awoken starts to wake up and get their bearings, Mikey Anders, Broden Ackers, Jackson Hopps, Lydia Tournier, Arella Aharon, and Cassius Klaus all waking up and looking at each other somewhat confused on why it was only them awake, with nobody else.
Cassius Klaus: "You think we're there ye-"
Broden Ackers: "Hell no, man you see how the fuck we're the only ones awake? That means something is fucked up."
Lydia Tournier: "Perhaps ARES doesn't want to wake anyone else up? I mean it doesn't mean it's always that bad right?"
Arella Aharon: "yeah maybe it can't be that bad though after all it's only six of us so it shouldn't be that bad."
Jackson Hopper: "Right, besides, I'm starving lets eat and discuss while we're at it."
Mikey Anders: "I got a bad feeling about this though mates. Maybe Broden has a point-
Lydia Tournier: "Oh be a little more optimistic with life Mikey, nothing can ever be that bad, probably just some security check on board."
The six squadmates then go to the canteen and eat their breakfast with Mikey and Broden discussing that maybe something wasn't quite right with the reasoning behind only their awakening, and the others taking it with a grain of salt as Elena Mei walked down the hall after receiving a similar briefing from ARES about the situation and went to join the marines for their breakfast. Being awoken to help with any possible wounded on the USS Missionary and help with any possible technological issues or inquiries that the squad may encounter along the mission.
