Retiring from CM and SS13

I'm getting tired of all these accusations and insinuations.

At this point, believe what you want.

I'm going to be handing over control to Rahl/BMC within the next day or so.

I just want to be done with SS13. The community can be way too toxic, and way to psychopathic.

I've enjoyed the last few years of CM. Working with people to make CM and the server better. But it's not worth all this recent stress, and it's time for me to move on.

Hopefully, you guys enjoyed this game I've poured a large portion of my heart and soul into.

This... is extremely saddening news to me and the community as a whole, but I understand why you made it.

You've always been great person when I've seen you, and put a lot of love into this game, perhaps too much. It sucks to see you go, I don't think anyone but a shitler will say otherwise. It sucks even worse that this shitty drama is what put the nail in the coffin.

I hope you visit the discord, you have a lot of people on voice who actually like hanging out with you outside of CM and we'd be sad to see you vanish from the world over it.

Say what you will about CM, Apophis was one of the best staff I've seen across all SS13 servers. He's a good man, a cool dude, and a great host. We'll miss you, good luck in your endeavors.

Been since from when Apophis revived CM taking from a medicore server, when he separed from New Eden, when Sulaco was released and then on turning into one the most fun experiences I've played in gaming. All the work he poured here is impressive and never another server will reach this level of success. From NSS Nostromo to the Almayer, from power-ranger jumpsuits and vanilla security gear to tanks, Apophis contributions will be invaluable.

I don't play CM or SS13 anymore and I think Reddit jumped too fast on the witch hunt train, but damm if it isn't sad to see the departure. Recording this message for the future.

I'm sorry that all the shit people pull has just gotten you fed up, but I can't blame you. I'm really sorry for all you've had to deal with while trying to make the server the best thing it could be. You made CM into one of the best SS13 servers around, pushing the boundary of not only SS13, but Byond as a whole, making the most popular game ever released on it. Thank you for all the hard work, time, and passion you put into making our server the best it could be. Good things never last forever, and I wish you the best out there Apop. You'll go down as the best thing that's ever happened to Byond.
